Hi, fellas! How did it go? I,m on my way to swap 1UZ in to my 80 and collecting all the info.
So far I understood that I will need pats from 2UZ with manual tranny, or I willing to change stock H151F because I've already got 450.000km on it.
Does anybody know the name of the manual gearbox of 2UZ?
Any update on your AT to MT conversion?

Any update if anyone's attempted this?

I want to say like 10-11 years ago someone was putting a tacoma 6 speed into their 100 series, i've tried to find the thread over the years but no luck.

So yes I think people have attempted the conversion?

I'm finally moving my 2UZ/H151 project forward. I'm closer to (test) bolting up the transmission etc... when I do I'll report back.

I saw a GX470 here in CO today that was standard but def US spec. I left my phone number, hopefully they hit me up. I’ve never seen a manual LX/GX before

Bump and maybe i missed it, but did you ever complete this?

Has anyone asked Man A Fre or Land Cruiser Heaven if they've done it or could do it? I know LCH is always importing tons of parts from UAE.

Hey man
Check out the picture I posted above. I don't have any other info on it. I lost interest in the swap.
hey man this thread is littered with hate for no reason and if you have any information that you saved about what’s needed to do this or if you ever found a solid answer as to whether or not it CAN or CAN’T be done, not whether or not someone feels like their statements about an auto being a better does anything at all except prevent progress literally. Dude this thread is not cool
Let me know if you want to work together on finding a way. I have the will so there is a way; it just might literally $20k-$30k from no third pedal to smiles per gallon, but if it can be done for $10k or less which I feel there has to be some way to do it lol even it’s unsafe or a ticking time bomb, there has to be a way.

I have seen a 2JZ swap done with a 6-speed but I was extremely confused as to why of all things possible, that was the choice lol…

If the 2UZ-FE can stay in and have a manual transmission, even if you have cut the roof off the top of the body and flip it upside and weld it on just to ensure that everyone knows what we’re doing doesn’t equate to whatever stupid metric is cited “an obvious reason to just not” lol or something

Haters come out of the woodwork and sometimes there was never any woodwork around prior to them coming out hahaha

Some people have extra time on their hands of those people, some want to install a manual transmission, and some want to explain why they think their opinion should prevent progress lol

It's easy if you can source the gearbox. When I did mine while living in Dubai all parts where in stock but I bought a used gear box with new bearings.
Shipping from UAE wouldn't be cheap but can definitely be done. I'm back in US now and if I wanted to do the swap. I would get on partsouq and amayma select MTM and put every part and bolt in your cart then figure out what's missing and source from UAE or AUS salvage yard.
Side note: everything just bolts right in. All the mounting points are already there. Only fab work you have to do is weld, epoxy or rivet in a cover for the old holes and cut for the new holes for where shifters go. Can even get the manual cluster bezel so you don't see the auto RND etc. Can use auto ecu from what I have seen they just jump the shifter switch to make ecu think trans is in neutral. It will start in gear but wasn't an issue for me.
Hope that helps. My manual 100 just left on a truck to Colorado so won't be around much anymore but if you have a question you think I can help with for manual swap orsupercharger I'll share what I can.
This was on a 99 with auto 4 speed.

For a price you could have @Bardiya source it all for you. 100% honest parts guy in UAE and he knows what it takes to get this done.

Lots of info in this thread (about my failed FJ45LV project :()
