Hi all, newbe here
In need of help w/2lte loosing power after approx. 40 kph when engine check light come on. The engine starts easy (-25C or +25C) no out of ordinary smoke, sounds normal. I have did diagnostic and it gives me a code 12, which accorting to all the reading and finding that I got it's the (Timer Control Valve). I've tested with ohm meter and I get a reading but I have no specs. I've also check wiring, connectors, got a new fuel filter on, took front end apart to make sure timming belt had not jump, replace injector pump from other complet engine that I have, except for the big hole in the block when the connecting rod #4 went through it, check Crank Position Sensor & even swap it with the one from other engine, swap Turbo, swap computer.
Now need help from other Land Cruiser owner that mabe encounter the same problem as I

Check that the grounds and power wires are all hooked up well. There's a ground at the back of the head that is very important.

The boost compensation comes from the MAP sensor located on the left inner fender - make sure the plug is in place and the hose is connected properly.

If the engine light is on, there is an issue somewhere... The 1KZTE codes are pretty much the same thing, and you can find them if you do a search.

Ok I've check for the ground wire at the back of the head could not find nothing no wire not connected even, i've also check map sensor connection OK i tested the vaccum hose with vaccum tester to make sure the hose was not crack, tested the little barrel filter that connect to it & tested the bigger hose that is going to the in-manifold, and I now that the timming is right on with the timming belt and that line on the fuel pump. I saw that the head sensor was bend and damage a little, but still get reading I want to replace it, can somebody help me with finding the right part #? DSCN4332.webp

I think i have a same problem with my LJ78 2LTE prado.

When starting up the engine all is normal, turbo and the turbo light is on, then after a minute the check engine comes on. No other problem with the engine but low power, turbo and the turbo light off on check engine. Low power when uphill, 60km per hour on the highway even the accelerator is all the way down to the floor, no turbo.

Please help.
