Hello everyone, and happy holidays.

I've found two wires on the intake side of my 2L-TE that I cannot identify, and I'm having trouble tracing.

One wire is 10awg Black with orange tracer, this has a push fit terminal. The other seems to have been repaired, and is black at origin, it has a ring terminal.

Both of these wires are routed under the intake manifold and towards the rear of the engine.

Please see the attached photo, all thoughts welcome! Thanks in advance.

I'm going to guess it's for the glow system. I'll try to take a look at mine today and let you know for sure. Also, there are wiring diagrams for these models that will tell you everything. A fellow on the forum here translated them from Japanese to English, and they are very handy. online manuals

Interesting, I had a feeling it may be. Superglow is removed for manual glow so that could explain. I'll test to see if theres 12/6v on the wires. Thanks for the link!

You're welcome for the link. Not sure if it directed properly, but the post I was talking about is #86 in that thread.
