Dear all,
gathering parts for my future BJ45 resto and purchased a good 2H engine (300,000 km/190,000 miles). Got it from a German friend who swapped it in his 1985 HJ60 for a 12H-T.
Now I found here in Greece the relic/hulk of another German 1985 HJ60, sitting in the mountains since five years. Transmission and axles are already gone, but the rest is still there (see pics).
Given that both these 1985 HJ60s are from the German market and, like my BJ45, 24V (chassis Nos are very close:
JT1WOHJ6000961XXX vs JT1WOHJ6000962XXX), I assume that the engines should be identical and can share parts.
So I would like to ask you if it is worth the trouble to go there (some 160km/100 miles, mostly on mountain roads) and have a look. If yes, what should I look for (e.g. 24V relais, harness, injection pump, the whole motor etc)?
I highly value your feedback!
Cheers, Demetrios
