well, disagree, kinda
i would test 24V with 2 batteries
i would also test on the bench in a vice.

As another point of reference, I'm at nearly 500psi on my 3B with 327k on it. Did the Seafoam and retested with no change. I've been running that way for at least 30k. I'm a little worried that the numbers are high but I really don't have any unusual smoking or any other performance issues so I'm content to leave it alone.

I'm probably going to turbo in the next few months so we'll see if that changes things.

I agree also crushers .
best to see the plug is intact and it's just the tip for this style of plug gets hot.
I have seen them get hot in the wrong place , plus some just crack on extraction , and they were about the break in the cyl.

I'll edit my senior DUH.

i usually clamp them gently in a vice where the socket goes on.
ground the vice and ignite the threaded tip.
count how many seconds it takes to get red hot.
then remove the super glow and replace with wilson switch and hold on for same amount of time.

Why dose everyone hate the super glow system ?

Mine seems to work fine, but I will be adding a override button , just to give the primary relay a shot when the odd time one cyl seems to mis.

So you use a Vice Eh? You don't hold the tip ?? I was dissecting a HO2s sensor the heater was the size of a tooth pick, holding the tiny heater, I flashed power and scorched my fingers in a Point of a second ,, DUH !!

I put new NGk 14V glow plugs in 2 years ago.

So if I have some in the truck turning the key and me watching the glow plugs I could miss one being broken. I did this and they all glowed bright red fast. I didn't count how long maybe 15secs think my truck has the super glow system.

I will pull them when i get to my shop next weekend and test in vise. Should i apply 24v to a 14v glow plug?

Injectors cleaned and pressure reset. Hoping to find some time tomorrow to install!

I just was helping a gent,
After his nozzle cleaning and checking , he now had starting issues .
Seems every once and a while , it started like crap .
I found he never replaced second part from the top
# 23654 sealing washer.

Make sure all sealing washers get replaced . there are 3 per nozzle on my 3b .
clean the steel 23760 pipe with a lapping the surface against the sealing area..

this is correct, 24V to a 14V plug and it should become red in very short time.

I noticed 22654 in the 2h tech manual.

When i took it apart i could not see any washer there guess they would of been stuck to the injectors. Friendly Toyota parts guy was talking about those washers I didn't order them I will go back and get them.

I bought 6x 11176 and 6x 11177 For the 2H to install under the injectors.

down is the way i install them but i don't think it really matters
