2f s/n???

Have a 2f 153764, I believe is a mar. 77, am I right??? I read sixteen pages, in the thread I found and looked at Sor. What y'all think?

I have this from SOR and it is somewhat helpful. Looks like your s/n is in the range for early 1977.

What does your date stamp say? It's on the drivers side ... It goes y/mm/dd ... So...

Something like 70312 would be 1977/march/12th

Mine says 70223 so I assume it a Feb 23 1977?

Wow.... I didnt know there was a date stamp. Is it on the other side of the serial number....just on the driver side?

2 sets of numbers on drivers side...the 1st set in the part number...second is the date stamp

if i remember correctly the date stamp is more torwd the rear (firewall side) and part number is toward the front...both on drivers side...i'm not looking at my engine right now

The date on 2F is on the manifold side of the block, toward the rear.

Here's some pics of the date code area on an 87 and a 78 block.
