Hey guys found some parts that were missing on the ‘76, flywheel cover and side cover? Anyways does anyone know what the proper orientation of the blasted part is and if pop rivets were used to affix it as some of the holes are quite small. Will have to use some JB Weld to fix numerous pinholes, metal is thin! Thanks buds! Tom

Tom did this come with your brother's 76 or did you buy it replace a missing part? Looks like a four speed cover modified to use on a three speed.
Hey John. Bought it to replace a missing part.

Looks like you got the right part just modified for a three speed. The three speed doesn't have a counter shaft below the main shaft. The depth of the cover is for clutch assembly. The four speed has the counter shaft and requires the extra depth on the face of the bellhousing where the transmission bolts on which is why it was cutout on the cover.

Just checked under my ‘78, exact same part so should be fine on the ‘76. The painted black part is a perfect match, the blasted part does not appear to fit anywhere. Thanks guys
