What am I missing? 285, 295, and 305 ar all basically 33 inch tires. You would not need a regear with any. The 195 and 305 are heavier, so breaking would be affected but not by much.

Sounds to me like you are getting yourself in a tizzy over very little. But then again I drive the "other" 33's, 255s.

More 255 love here, really enjoy mine. If you like the wide and fat look I can't advise you there.

Depends on if you are looking for best overall performance and what kind of driving you do. Less weight and less wear and tear on components, easier on the steering etc with the 255's IMHO. If you are going for looks, mount up what you like.

Your decision depends on the type of terrain you are going to be driving on the most. Dirt, mud, and snow effect all these tires slightly different. In my opinion, snow=wider is better. In mud=skinny and "knobby" is better. On Dirt it doesn't matter your driving an 80 :steer:

If your gonna raise your rig more then I would go bigger than 285. It will look better and you will be happier. Like everyone says no need to re-gear.

I don't think it's the end of the world to get a tire that is not found as frequently. You can always find something to work in a pinch.

I vote for 305's :hillbilly:

Hows the flex with 315s with a 2.5" lift??
