I don't know if this is a typo, but it's the size I've been looking at for some time:

OPEN COUNTRY M/T | Toyo Tires

LT285/70R18 127/124Q E/10 360590 0 0 0 0

They have no info on it at all, so wonder if it could be brand new?

Might be a nice way to upsize from 275/70R18 without taking on all the baggage from full 35" tires...

I just got through shopping for tires and looked at the Toyos MT's and never saw that size. I would consider it if they weren't at the very top of the tire price chart.

That's a new size, I've got the size chart from last year around this time saved. Simo just get 285/75/18 like the rest of us!

Did you need a body lift to get those to work with out rubbing? If so, was that difficult to accomplish?

Stick with your 33's. The body lift was easy, but there are other things that need to be chopped and other things trimmed/adjusted. Your wife will kill you.

Sonk, you could shave 1" in height by going to a 295/70 (34" vs the 35" 285/75). Looks like Nitto has them in both the MT and AT flavors). I've been extremely happy with the AT on the highway, hopefully they will see some snow and trail time tomorrow.

Is there a DIY guide somewhere for the bodylift? I'm trying to get a better feel for how much is involved.

Also, what is the "complete" list of the other things that need to be addressed?

I've search a bunch, and have seen comments about pinch welds and bump stops, but wasn't sure if there was more to it. And also, I have not seen the definitive story on to what extent these changes are needed (i.e., how much body lift, what size bump stops, etc.)

Still agonizing over the decision. Every time I go out on the trails, I seem to find myself hanging up the bottom of the truck on some stupid rocks, so the quest for increased clearance continues...

Toyo MT's were the best tire a ran on my 80. Never damaged a sidewall

I have damaged 3 NT Grappler AT's and looking to go back to a Toyo MT

I don't want to go 35's as to me that would make me need to regear, but these are 34.1" vs 35.1 and I would think I could run that with my current setup

Anyone get a set in this size? Hoping someone with the 5 speed who still has stock gears has an opnion

The sizes are listed in black and white right on Toyo's web site, why is there confusion on which are available?
