I've been scouring for 1157s in 24V, some mentioned the 1662s, but a couple guys mentioned they won't work. I'm tempted to just grab some LEDs (with the resistor packages) for my rear turn signals (and maybe the rest of the outside lights.

Any reason not to? Is there an easy place to find the 24V incandescents? The model# of the bulb (or the only writing on it anywhere) is JB24V25W. That actually stumped google.

Thanks for the help...I know there's some info on the forums but I've read for days trying to figure this out.

For what application? Most 24V bulbs are available from your local Toyota dealer.

Most japanese trucks are 24 volt and use the same types as Landcruisers.

Try a Hella dealer Distributors | HELLA

Did you have the Toyota part number to give the parts person? If not, here is a link to a few 24V bulb numbers and try that: light bulb number

Awesome, Greg, this is very helpful. Able to find that bulb at the dealership for $14.99 before a 10% discount. RIDICULOUS for a bulb, but better than paying $5 with $12-15 for shipping to get it here from Japan. Definitely going to do the LED switch.

I have a few spares if you need one or two to keep you going until you find a good option...
