Hey guys,

I recently came across a post on Instagram that shows that there are a few changes coming to the LX for the US market.

First off, exterior wise, there’s a new front splitter and grille design, and some new wheels:

And here’s a picture comparing the previous kit to the new one:

There’s also a new interior color for the inspiration series:

Just when you think that grill can’t get any worse...

The wife’s GX has the same grill. I don’t think it’s that bad in person.

Thank God up in heaven that gaping yaw grill didn’t migrate over to Toyota. That grill is the only reason I bought a LC over a Lexus. You have to wonder how many sales Lexus lost because of that grill.

Striking resemblance to a Sienna. Yuck

I actually like the grille, but the chin being so low on a vehicle intended to go off-road is a non-starter.

Can’t understand why Toyota/Lexus can’t just fix that terrible approach angle if they consider it an off-road/luxury vehicle.
They did. Buy a landcruiser instead. I’m pretty sure the vast majority of people buying LX570s couldn’t care less about approach angle, so I don’t fault toyota for the design. It just doesn’t fit into what I’d need of it, despite me kind of liking the look. And to be clear I like the look of a 16+ cruiser more, I just don’t get as triggered by the 16+ LX as some.
The guy that got a 16 or 18 and cut the front end up to put a bumper on it though.. that one looks awesome.

Thank good goodness for pre-2016 LX570s.

My 2008 is pretty tame in comparison.

Are there any aftermarket front ends that can take the Predator Look?

I know the landcruiser is better with approach angle, but I like the LX better mainly because it’s a Lexus and Lexus most of the time has better service.

Note to 2031 self, buy a used 2021 Lexus LX570 Black Edition S in Nori Green. Hope that paint still looks good in 10 years when i can afford one.
