Hey Everyone - First post on here, hopefully I am in the right spot. Wanted to get thoughts on whether to purchase a 2021 LC 200 or the new Lexus LX600. I am in the market and trying to decide if I want to wait for the right LX to come through my local dealer or go ahead with a LC? At the end of the day, all I want is a reliable vehicle I can have for the next 20 years - I primarily haul family and gear many weekends across the state, drive fire and forest service roads, go skiing, and take an occasional off road trip from time to time. Just interested to hear people's thoughts on the new rig vs the 200 series. Both will be a step up from my 04 LC which I will be trading in.
Thanks.

300 all the way. Some 200 owners (I own one btw) who are ingrained and want to preserve their perceived status will always argue in favor of the 200. It’s natural and happens every time a new gen of anything comes out. Go with the latest tech that you can afford.

No matter how much new technology or the availability of the forthcoming hybrid powerplant in the Lexus LX600, I'll never buy one due to how BUTT UGLY they are from any angle. I'll drive my third LC, 2020 HE until I expire.

Example given. Spend some time reviewing threads from 2007-8 and you’ll find the same comments made about the 200.

Lexus has been on this design jag for several years and the front gets larger each model year. I bet fewer think the LC200 is as God alfull ugly as the LX600! A design disaster!

I’d certainly be drawn to the LX… I’ve driven the new tundra and it’s a lot of fun, I’m excited to see what that TT does in the LX. Having said that, modifications for the LX could take years to come out….

I was thinking of buying the LX600 until i hear of a few new Tundras with the TT having waste gate issues, so the dealer pulls the cab & replaced the turbos . This just drove me to get a 2nd hand LX570 i love it and no regret.

The minute I heard of this problem I waived off replacing my frame rotted 2006. There is no way I'd buy a new vehicle knowing there are issues that required major surgery to repair. Any vehicle once taken apart to that level will never be the same. Very few have enough pride in their work to get a vehicle together exactly as it was meaning panels not quite fitting together, missing noise proofing between parts, broken tabs/clips and missing screws/bolts. The person doing the reassembly could be a lower level employee with little experience and may not have been the person to take it apart. The odds are against you all the way. This will be corrected later in the year or better yet wait until 2023.

Dang, that 2013 style looks really good to me. Funny how car styling grows on you depending on what's current.
I sold my 2018 last weekend and am in line for LX600. I've always preferred the look of my 2002 though the 2013 is exceptionally sharp.
