Wanted a last year V8, rumblings on line that the Heritage 2020 edition, the Yakima basket when installed will not fit in a standard garage, rack and basket adds 10 inches! Too Tall.

The basket comes off if you choose so.

The Heritage Edition, with the 5.7 V8, will be back again in 2021 which will probably be the last year. So, if you really want a last year V8 Heritage Edition, pass on the 2020.

I love the HE basket.... Wait let me rephrase that.

It won't fit on the LC in my lower than standard garage so one of my sons took possession for use on his jeep. He loves it as the price was just right for him. :hmm:

I have cleaned up this thread to remove non appropriate comments and references to it

Knowing what will fit in your garage is an operator not a car manufacturer issue. I made 8 ft doors a criteria when I bought my house 12 years ago for that reason. Dinged my 80 series rack in a downtown parking garage so that made me sensitive to it. It was posted, I just did not realize how tall it was before I smacked it.

8 ft doors when you want to run anything on a rack. I can even pull in with a rooftop tent in my garage

So, take off the Yakima basket.

I wonder if the Yakima basket was installed specifically for mitigation, as the height with just the factory rack was marginal for domestic garages. So new owners don't just non-chalantly pull their new HEs into their garage without a sanity check of height first.
