Hi, I'll be taking my LC in to the dealership soon and will be asking them to check the direction of the LED low beam lights. I seem to get many drivers flashing their lights at me or turning their full beams on even though I only have my low beams on. I'm pretty confident it's due to my lights blinding them for some reason. I wondered if any other 200 series refresh owners (2016-2020) have experienced this and if so whether you got to a solution?

Occasionally, i get it........but damn it, those LEDs give glorious spread of light that is unmatched by any car i have driven previously!!

I have a '19 and regularly get people flashing their lights at me...last night, in fact, a guy who was ahead of me screamed at me at the stop light to turn off my brights? They weren't on. I'm going to have to point them down a bit...the fact that I raised the LC a couple inches didn't help.

I had to do that on a lifted LC as well. I did it myself. It is not hard to do.

I think it’s the height of the vehicle that gives the perception that “brights” are on. Even in my 2003 100, which had pathetic halogens, I would get those dagger looks from oncoming traffic on occasion.

Phillips head (+) screw driver into the outer most hole in headlight housing with hood open.

Takes 5 min to align and get right at most.

Ok - I’m gonna give this a try. Which direction would move the alignment of the light down? Any more specific instructions on how many turns if I were to just lower it a fraction?

If you're even mildly lifted or have a taller tire, you're gonna get flashed. Super easy to fix as described above.
I did put Geolander G015 tires on (same wheels) but I believe these tires are slightly taller than the stock. So this could be at play.

I can't remember exactly. I do remember that you can actually see it going up or down as you turn it. I recall that there are 2 screws on each one and you are supposed to turn them at the same time, not one. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure. The instructions are in the manual somewhere, I believe.

This is why 2020 have auto level headlights. I can’t believe 16-19 headlights are DOT approved. Even my 2001 Audi S4 HIDs are auto level.

I get flashed (with headlights :)) once in a while with my stock 2018.
If headlights aren't auto leveling then I guess towing will present a problem if the vehicle is tilted due to weight.

don't the 2016 and up have the leveling switch in the cab like my 2015? You can change the angle of them from that.

2016 here and mine are auto-leveling.
They are not auto-aiming; so if you lifted your LC, you’ll have to re-aim them (if needed). I’ve been flashed with & without the lift.

I believe the sensor for auto-leveling recognizes when the rear end is lower (e.g., hauling heavy items) and adjusts headlight angle accordingly. Other than mentioning the “blinking auto-leveling” light as a warning it’s not working, I can’t find any other details in the manual...

just park your truck about 30 feet from a car head to head and with a screw driver aim them down till the top headlight lines hides under the bottom side of the windshield....One hole per side of each headlight.....Really guys, takes less than 5 minutes. SUPER easy.

I have a slightly lifted 2009 and get flashed every other day. I recently put these 8000 lumen fog light and one set for my high beams:
$14.99 LED bulbs

My IPF low beams are only 5000 lumens. Going to upgrade to 20,000 lumens soon for $17.

It has auto-leveling. You can see this when you start the LC up at night.
I just did a test of this and watched the lights against a wall as I started it up. I did not see the typical auto leveling behavior that I’ve had on another cars - where the light turns on and you see it adjust up/down for a second or two. This did not happen when I tested it on my 2017 LC last night - the lights came on and stayed fixed at the same level. Can you explain what you see when you start yours - how do you see the auto leveling in action as you described?

Hmmm, last time, i saw it adjust up/down for split second. Maybe it Was my imagination. Will check later. Toyota does list it as auto-level.
