Thanks for the update. Mine will need to go in for the steering sensor reset to get the steering wheel straight. 1000 miles and it's still off-center.
Guys, I don't mean to sound like a parrot, repeating things, but people keep saying that their toe is off. That's what makes the steering wheel look tilted one direction or the other. The VGRS isn't the issue.

Just because the steering wheel is off, doesn't make the drive wheels give you a bad driving experience.

The steering wheel being strait up and down past a few miles of driving with, is how much your outer tie rods are threaded in or out.

If we have all noticed people saying that after hundreds of miles, the steering wheel is still off, and that an alignment fixed it. That because the 200 is still linked steering. We are not drive by wire.

I searched and found this thread because my steering wheel is off a bit (2013 LC). I had an alignment done about two months ago but only noticed the wheel being a little bit off today. I’d like to think it is alignment related and I somehow just never noticed the steering wheel being a bit off until today. I don’t daily drive it but we did take a 1500 mile road trip after the alignment. It’s weird if it has been off since the alignment and I just noticed today. Not saying that isn’t possible, just wierd for me not to have noticed.

This thread confuses me a bit as some of the posts say it’s all mechanical linkages meaning toe adjustments are needed to change steering wheel position and others talk about VGRS calibration. I have the sticker under the hood but I have not disconnected the battery at any point since the alignment.

I suspect the answer here is both toe adjustment and electronic calibration could either or both be involved. How do you know which to check?

I plan on having the alignment shop play with caster to see if I can eliminate a KDSS rub. I guess I’ll just have them check steering wheel alignment while they are making alignment adjustments.

It’s pretty easy to dial in the steering wheel yourself while maintaining alignment by turning both tie rods a flat or two at a time.

I do this for most of my vehicles after alignment… thought being if I’m not too annoying about steering wheel exactly perfect they can put their energy into optimizing the rest of it.

Not a bad idea to look into VGRS though.

Only if it tracks straight while wheel is off, VGRS. If not and you feel like checking on alignment at home then fiddle with your tie rods.

VGRS center process is super simple.
