I want to try and go this year!

Do people want to do a big mansion rental again or are we interested in moving back to a camping style trip?

Depending on dates and how it is scheduled with my exam for work (May 4), I would love to come. I would be more interested in camping.

I'm interested, but the last week of march is a no go for me. Week before and week after are all free as of now.

As far as camping versus house? I'm flexible either way.

And put me down as a solo. I've asked the wife, but somehow sitting around a campfire with a bunch of guys talking about trucks doesn't appeal to her. Go figure!

Kinda like sitting around a bottle of wine with a bunch of girls talking about whatever it is they talk about when I refuse to go along... :)

That "mansion" was great last year.

I like camping but to get the better half sold on even a cabin after that great house last year would be a tough sell.

The problem with doing a big mansion is that someone has to pony up the cash to put the deposit down and then worry about collecting money. Doing campsites is easier because the $ aspect is up to everyone individually, not one person for the whole group.

Does anyone want to volunteer to coordinate the house rental? Alternately, does anyone else have a strong opinion in favor of the house rental?

Mansion. It's not a deal-breaker for me, but it would be for :princess:... She's tentative anyhow, though.

Schedule hasn't gone up yet, however Sarah has asked me to coordinate. So cool your jets guys....

But it will be 30APR-08MAY depending upon the house rental schedule. No camping...

I was told you weren't going to be able to coordinate @GarnerFJ40 , so if you are, I'll leave it to you! Thanks!

STR yes, but not the July Hurricane Creek Trip. Too much school! There is the slight chance that I might have to adjust my own schedule to arrive or leave STR late/early but I'll at least coordinate it and plan like I'll be there the entire time! Too much fun and relaxation not to go!

Brian my jets were fired up shortly after we got back from the last one. My vote is for the house again. I greatly prefer the Corolla area to the others. If some want to camp and others want a house it could work but we would need some solid coordination. Also iirc some of the SC mentioned getting a house as well and us doing side by side houses. Another benefit to the house is you don't have to worry about the neighbors as much. I can say pretty safely we would most likely not camp. Having the house for the group meals was also a huge plus.

And yeah. I'll take that bet on meatball. Didn't he bail at the last minute last year. :flipoff2:

Damn....1 week before the 25th GSMTR? I was really hoping to get an ONSC group together to hit GSMTR this year, but I can see that's gonna be tough.

IF it stays 30APR-08MAY then I can swing in (tentatively)

I have a huge, prestigious chorus festival April 29th-30th, and dad already agreed to us going this year. I'm holding onto his words and hoping to make it to the tail end of the trip!
