2016 LX 570 Front Bumper Options (1 Viewer)

Recently hit a deer with my 2016 LX570 destroying the factory front bumper, grille, etc. I was thinking about upgrading the front end before but now I have a reason to. I have looked with mixed results on what the options are for front bumpers. Any suggestions and and advice are greatly appreciated! Thanks

I’m in the same boat on my LC (see avatar) except I’ve been debating on which one for five years . I’m pulling the trigger on a Bilstein lift so now is the time if I’m ever going to do it. Not much help but I feel you!

The CBI Hybrid is or will be an option and I thought that the LC 200 ARB bumper Wanderlust Overland fitted to a 2016+ LX turned out great. It's a custom fit but they proved that it can work.

That build is awesome. Any idea how much customization other than cutting the grill and factory plastics was needed for that bumper? Wish I was closer to wanderlust but I’m in Louisiana. I also talked to cbi and they told me they are working on the 2016-2018 models but don’t have anything ready yet.

I’m 95% sure all the mounting points are the same for all the years. Most of what you see on the 16+ Facelift is plastic (which will melt away like butter with an oscillating tool).

The only difference other than the plastic, grille and head lights is AHC instead of KDSS. Short of glass and interior differences the underpinnings are the same. I've owned both now so I've done a lot of crawling around under them lol. There could be a few small things I am missing but it's not drastic. I'd give Michael at Wanderlust a call and discuss it in further detail.

I’ve considered a bumper for my ‘17, but thus far haven’t found an option designed specific to the 16+ LX in the wild, aside from the CBI J201 concept hybrid one.

I read elsewhere, and @grinchy mentions above, that Dissent has one that potentially will work, but I can’t find anything on their site about it.

Overall, it seems that bumpers like the ARB can be made to work, but it takes more effort and skill. (How much skill and effort I’m not qualified to say)

The post from WanderOver on page 5 of the thread that @tbisaacs shared gives more detail on what it took for them to fit that bumper to the post-facelift LX.
E.g. It does appear to require custom tweaking due to things such as additional parking sensors.

We've had to do some serious hacking to the grill to get the ARB to fit. Won't know for sure what we've got until its done. I may need to have something custom made... I am sorry to hear that but I am not surprised. I actually contacted the Crystal For Cars people on IG to see if they are...

Thanks. It's actually a 2013, but I am pretty sure it will fit on 16. I would confirm with Dissent though. They are also developing a beefier version, but I have been really happy with mine. It is (relatively) lightweight, has amazing clearance, and is incredibly well built. Here is a more recent shot of the front:

Thank you. I am pretty happy with it at this point. It's an amazingly capable vehicle.

Previously I was running 285/55/20 KO2s on stock wheels. I am now running 285/75/17 KO2s on ICON Vector 5 wheels.

Nice! Pricey though . . . Yep, they are definitely that all right. That said, I've got a 400K km old standard one in my work wagon that gets mud & dust through it every day, and it's still going strong. On the diesels, they are a real SOB to get at - its not a job you would want to do...

Dissent will work on a 3rd gen lx.

I spoke to Ben at Dissent a week ago. He said all installations are on hold while they catch up on manufacturing. He said call him back at the end of February to see if things are caught up and he can fit me it (I live about 1.5 hours away). I have a 2017 and he said he hasn't some a 2016+ LX yet but he's willing to take some measurements and see if his bumper will fit.

Yea. Everyone I have called about the bumper has been super nice. I wish I was closer to one of their shops to let them use mine for measurements and pre fab. I’m in Louisiana so if anyone knows of places around here, please let me know. Unfortunately, don’t have time for a long road trip right now.... about to get the check from insurance and make a decision. Should I keep it stock, anyone seen any grilles that make these look better? If I have to, thought about going with their black out grille but it looks like it has less clearance than this one. Also realized I never put up a pic of the truck. 75 mph vs around a 70 lb deer. This thing held up like a tank.
