AHC, can't really upgrade the suspension and you'll have to stick to all Lexus suspension parts.

2015 LX 570 is the sweet spot in the 200s platform they got really ugly and 2016 you still have a dependable six speed transmission not that eight speed POS and you’re probably get it for really good price the hydraulic suspension is very robust and a thing of beauty

Thanks for the input.
I personally think the 2015 looks better than the later models.
the only negative I have found is that they drop in value about 10k to 15k per year.
the engine is great.
is there any issues with the suspension?
The drivetrain?
The interior is the nicest of any car I've ever driven.

Engine and transmission are the same from 2008 to 2015 same with The suspension which is a 5000% improvement over the 100 series hydraulic suspension which was not a bag suspension to begin with. You can easily get 25 years and a half million miles usage out of this platform. They changed to an eight speed transmission in 2016 for fuel economy not for reliability or dependability plus it’s got that ugly face on it and it looks like Shat

It's nice when it already come built in with the best.

I have a 2015 ex-lease CPO car. There are four negatives:
  • Gas mileage is atrocious
  • Infotainment system is pretty crappy by 2019 standards
  • Rear seat entertainment doesn't have HDMI input
  • There is no app-based remote start, so you can't start it when you are on the train coming back to the train station
  • It takes about 40 minutes to remove the third-row seats
Other than those, I think it's pretty much perfect.

It'll ruin any other body on frame SUV for you (save perhaps the new G wagon). I used to think Tahoes were decent rides but they can't even compare to a Landcruiser. I rather just get a unibody than anything non 200 series.

I agree that the 2015 LX is the best looking of them. One negative for me over the 2016+ is the lack of the new techno-safety features like blind-spot monitoring etc. in the 2015.

As a old guy it would be nice to have the blind spot. But it does make me really check before changing lanes

What's the gas mileage and why does it take so long to remove the 3rd row seats? I agree, you can not pay me enough to even look at the '16+ LX front let alone buying it.

With 33” BFGs I average16.9-17.0 on the highway and about 12.0-12.1 in the city.

The third row take 45 minutes to remove because they’re not designed to be removeable. They stow in 5 seconds (power) but even stowed, they take up baggage compartment space. To remove them, you must remove two plastic trim pieces, remove four bolts, and disconnect the seat from power.

Adding low grade tech in the form of a convex mirror does wonders for eliminating the blind spot issue. I have a 3.5" mounted on my LX. Both driver and passenger sides. Even better is that I can make out if there's a person trying to fly up into the blind spot that I want to merge into.

I know the new G had IFS but the G500 I sold to get my LX road like a 1980’s F250.
