My front passenger park sensor intermittently gives a false read like there is an object I am approaching, but nothing is there.

It is intermittent but seems to happen when I am in LO at parking lot speed and turning the wheel.

The sensor is not obstructed (couple small paint chips on it from normal use) and I have not removed bumper or replaced them before.

Any ideas what is causing this misfire?

I had one doing that because if water after heavy rain or siting in high humidity outside. Drying out temporarily fix it.
Replacement is the permanent fix.

Interesting you say that as it did rain last week.

So you are saying there is moisture intrusion at the unit and I should replace it?

Do you have a part number?

The sensors are sealed and trying to open them damages the rubber ring. So yes replacement unless someone figured out how to keep that rubber intact.

Part # are specific and to the color. Sensors come painted. Some colors are cheap, some are expensive. I guess it depends if the color is used by other models or not. 200 sensors are used by many other models.

I manage to repaint one of mine although many say not to repaint. I used one coat of paint and one clear. Keeping the paint /clear off the rubber was the hard part.

Do NOT buy non Toyota sensors! Ebay is fine as long as the sensors are genuine OEM.

So looks like the PN# for platinum silver metallic is 8934133190B9 per 2014 Lexus LX 570 Parking Aid Sensor. ULTRASONIC, NO. 1 - 8934133190B9 | Lexus, Riverside CA - https://parts.lexusofriverside.com/p/Lexus_2014_LX-570/Parking-Aid-Sensor/63527525/8934133190B9.html
Looks like this is the part:

I am guessing it is just a plug and play and that none of the other accompanying parts (#s 21 and 22 in below diagram) need replacing:

just to clarify ... your pic is not for your color. The link is.
If you willing to paint you can get the new sensor at much lower price on ebay ($52 what I got, the silver is brighter than yours), partsouq.com ($105), or amayama.com ($75). Sorry you got the expensive color (I got the same).

Other causes for false warnings are ... if you replace bumper w/ aftermarket and change the sensor orientation/position from factory, if your bumper is deformed, sensor is not set properly in the bumper, cracked bracket/bezel - stuff that can put the sensor in a wrong orientation. It can also be caused by a sensor hit (bumped into something). But you made not mentions of any of that.
Also check harness for damage but that is very unlikely as the harness is very well protected by the bumper and undercovers.
If the circuit is broken, sensor missing, etc. then you will get a service required message not the proximity warning.
