Just got the word that my 2017 TLC will be at the dealership this week. I wanted to offer up my current truck to the forum before listing on Craigslist/Ebay. If interested, shoot me an email (john at lockwoodlawfirm dot com).

I am selling a black 2014 Land Cruiser with sandstone interior. The vehicle currently has 40,100 miles and just received a fresh oil change and also a replacement air filter and cabin air filter. The vehicle has a clean CarFax and has been owned by me since brand new. I have every receipt in a nice binder for the prospective buyer, along with the original window sticker. In addition, the vehicle comes with an extended maintenance and warranty plan that is transferrable to the new owner. The maintenance is covered through April 21, 2020, or 75000 miles and the warranty plan is covered through April 21, 2020, or 80000 miles. I just used the maintenance plan today at the Toyota dealership and it was hassle-free. They looked up the VIN, found the service agreement, and away I went.

The vehicle has never towed anything heavier than a bicycle and has never been smoked in. As you know, these basically come as they are with no available options. The only additional options listed on the winder sticker are the ToyoGuard Elite, remote start/security, carpet mats and connectivity package. Only one of the DVD headsets has ever been opened (my wife watched a movie on a road trip once) and the other remains in the original factory packaging. We don't have kids so the back seats have been unoccupied. This truck has not been abused or off-roaded.

The truck currently has a set of BFG KO2's on it but those will be going to the new truck. Thus, this truck will be getting the brand new set (all 5 tires) that is coming off the 2017.

I am asking $53,000 for the truck. You can email me (listed above) or call/text me at (850) 694.2978.

I'm not sure how taxes work in Florida, but in Colorado you only pay sales tax on the difference between your trade in value and the sales price of the new car. If your tax rate is say 7% and your private party sales price is $53,000, you would "break even" with the dealer by getting them to offer $49,290 to you on your trade. Any offer from the dealer for more than $49,290 means you'll be ahead in the deal. Just food for thought if you hadn't considered it.

Thanks. It does work that way in Florida but my accountant would like me to place the new truck in one of my consulting firm's names. I would rather just buy outright than mixing the transactions with a personal vehicle trade.

BTW - I got a couple inquiries about MUD member discounts. I will absolutely take care of any MUD member who wants to get in this ride.
