Believe it or not I'm not finding a lot for this when I search.

Anyone know how much this costs? I'm fine taking it to Lexus, they've quoted me about $100 for bulbs for other Lexus cars I've had.... Not assuming this is any different.

The headlight would flicker and then come on, repeat. Finally it went out.

Phillips D4S is the standard replacement and run about $70/pair. You can spiff it up with something like the Osram Night Breaker D4S at about $150/pair. I’d replace both if I was replacing one.

I wouldn’t want to guess what Lexus charges.

It's not bad, around $100 for my other car. Believe it or not there are some (few) things that the dealer is as cheap as indy.

I'll take it in sometime soon and report back the specific price.

We will see. The Lexus part is $150 (300/pair) on most online sites, so I wouldn’t expect the dealer to charge any less than that.

I think OEM on the LX it’s a 4300k D4S bulb stock, but as long as you get a D4S 35w bulb, it shouldn’t matter much what color temp you go with.

Bulb is about $180 you were right, but they want $95 in labor which is high but I can live with it if they have to drop the bumper, etc.

I don't think you have to drop the bumper. I have a 2010, so it's not exactly the same, but i have definitely changed my low beams out without dropping the bumper.

Looks like moving the battery may be necessary.

Air box. Indy quoted me $135+ tax for an aftermarket bulb including installation. My friend who sold it to me told me to order these, are they alright? Extra light output but I don’t want to mess anything up.

The last time i changed out my D4s bulbs (in a GS350), I just went with standard Phillips D4S bulbs. But i have seen the above posted with favorable results. I would definitely get 2. If one went out, the other one is not far behind it, plus it's almost definitely going to look different than the stock bulb. They wear with aga, and the color temperature changes, and i suspect the night breakers color temperature is different than OEM even when they are fresh.

I believe the Toshiba ones listed above are what Toyota re-boxes for OEM. So those would be good as well. The other link is Phillips version of the Osram upgraded bulb you posted.

I changed them on my 13 LX few months ago. It is one of those took me 2 hours to do it the first time but the 2nd time will take 20mins. I did take the battery out to get to it.

Did you have to move air filter box on other side?

I was pretty sure I didn't remove anything on that side, so I went to look just to make sure. I definitely touch the air box and not sure why you would. Light is inside that cap.

I just changed mine today.
Took 10 mins on the passenger side.
No need to remove anything other than the dust cap.

Tip: be careful and memorize the orientation of original bulb before removal and your installation will be much easier.
