2011 Rubithon June 14th to 19th, 2011...

My plan is more or less as follows:

Mon 13 Driving from LA to Lake Tahoe ( I need to confirm with Joe and the rest of LA people, we may caravan during the weekend)
Tu 14 - Sat 19 Rubicon Trip
Sun 20 - rest, fix truck ro drive home, extra day just in case...
Mon 21 - Driving from Lake Tahoe to LA, or early on Sunday...

The French team needs a taxi from wherever airport they land, to trail head and viceversa...

I don't have three seats open, but one for sure...

The 2011 Rubithon Registration form is available on the Rubithon Web Site. Basic info for 2011 has been updated and we hope to have all the info that we know on the site by next week.

New for 2011:

CalSTAR option available. For a reduced rate of $35, folks can purchase into the CalSTAR (air ambulance service) for them and their family for an entire year.

New Wheel Deal: Registration, two meals, two shirts! Great for you and your co pilot buddy.

RC Rock Crawl: Chris Larson will be conducting a full on RC rock crawl competition complete with various classes and prizes. Kids are free!

My daughter is so looking forward to this, she missed last year due to illness at last minute.

Tony, of our TLCA is expired and we are purchasing a Premier Package, do we need to send in a TLCA renew form or is it all handled thru Rubithon registration ?

I am very happy about the Calstar, awesome job linking up the registration with this insurance.

i appreciate your offer ;) but cruiserdrew (andy) 'll pick up us to the airport or maybe his son jeff ...
but you are free to contact andy , maybe could be usefull for him instead to go to san francisco to pick up the crazies frogs team :)

TLCA Membership when purchased thru Rubithon is all handled by Rubithon Registration. No further action on your part is required other than registering for Rubithon and sending a payment (make checks out to TLCA).

Now make no mistake... I usually drop the ball on someone like Andy Hagin or Don Gattons' daughter last year. But a quick call to me usually resolves the situation.

TLCA registration thru Rubithon is coordinated with the TLCA Admin Jennifer. Until Jennifer receives the list or renewals and payment from Rubithon, she has no idea about your membership so contact Rubithon first if any issues arise.

Additionally, for those active TLCA members who renew, the additional year of membership is added to your current expiration date, and Rubithon folks are always upgraded to first class if not already.

Rubithon is TLCA's only Hosted event... that is, Rubithon is put on by TLCA with the support of many TLCA chapters and individual members. All proceeds go directly to TLCA.

Rubithon is open to only TLCA members. Everyone at Rubithon is a fellow TLCA like yourself.

I think coffe grinder cause nothin ever breaks when Mudrak is around.


I dunno what kind of Coffee it was but we had a nice camp site by Buck with me, Pismo, Mud and Craig & son and Mud was passin out double espresso shots at dam near midnight. Next camp over was shootin to scare off bear so I guess Mudrak thought we outa stay up all night. I put him to sleep tho with stories of Alaska. It seems Pismo has done some extensive travel up in the far north. We had been to alot of the same places. Good chat for us but boring as hell for Mud.

Is it just me or does the enthusiasm we usually see prior to the event not here yet ???
Dave, how are raffle prizes stacking up ?
Ross, any help needed with food this year, Emmy is so bummed she missed last year, I told her you had some special kitchen stuff for her, like peeling tatoes.......
Can't wait to wheel with fuel injection.
Anyone betting on the snow pack ? Gonna be beautiful again this year.

also... everyone is probably watching the snow pack and thinking 'Wonder what they'll do this year'. :)



No worries, the weather and the snow will clear up.
