Have faith, stay the course, focus, don't waiver, don't let em make ya flintch and it will pan out.
If you build it they will come.

IMO option C, keep on, and *** it.

Patience.

We still have 2 months until the trip....with any luck the propaganda that is global warming will kick in to effect now that we need some snow melt, lol

Tony, your efforts are always greatly appreciated!

To be honest I hope the snow does not melt. The farmers in the vally are depending of the snow pack so they will have water. Sometimes there is more important things than wheeling

yes that is true also for us in France, not too much snow / rain this winter, so the water level is low now...

but i'm optimist, and i'm sure there are plenty of good trails around the west coast :)
the most important for me 'll be to see my Friends :), Alvaro, andrew, jeff, samy, robie and many others...and share good moments between friends and tlca members .

well those were more brain storming type ideas and probably inappropriate to state anything like that without some advance notice to my friends.

and no, I don't think that would be a good idea in the big picture.

My main reason for posting was to simply alert folks we have no date at this time and are looking at other alternatives.

LOL. The White Crusade!

It could still all work, or just be a bit snowy, and if worse comes to worse, we go in and out through Loon Lake.

It was cold and rainy all last spring, and if this spring is normally warm it could be wide open.

Changing to August would be very difficult at this point, at least for me.

I am ready to go and wheel my freshly painted truck.

How about for 2012, we shoot for the last weekend in June. Those 2 weeks are enough to assure no snow.

Anyway, I've been home bound long enough. Time to get out there.

Official postpone dates... July 13th to 17th

Friends...

It is official, the dates for 2011 Rubithon are July 13th to 17th.

I will offer refunds to anyone who cannot accommodate these dates.

I realize this could severly impact some of you and for this I apologize.

On the other hand, I am sure this will open opportunities for many who could not do June.

On the bright side, we got the only weekend available in which we have the entire Rubicon Springs.

also, please do me a favor, don't reply and tell me you're going in June regardless. That decision is up to you and in reality, you can run the trail any weekend of the year thanks to the efforts of Scott Johnston and the Rubicon Oversight Committee, Friends of the Rubicon and my personal land champion, Del Albright.

The difference is that environmentalists and others will not be able to point a finger directly at TLCA and Rubithon and accuse us of not doing what is best for the trail and our reputation as responsible OHV enthusiasts.

On that note, I hope to see you all at our first ever July Rubithon, in memory of our friend Gary Bjork, aka NightLight. (great swimming, no mosquitoes, warm evenings, no rain.)

Thank you and drive safe!
