That's a lot of good info to check before I send this off. I'm going to have to read it several times and head out with my multimeter.

Update: the DVD monitor was indeed broken. I shipped it off first to a repair facility in Atlanta, who quoted me $1400. I asked for it to be returned. I had already received a quote from Supertech in Australia for far less. $750 AUD, which works well with the exchange rate to USD. So I shipped it to them instead. They evaluated it and contacted me while I was out on vacation saying they confirmed it was damaged internally and it was something they could fix, so when I returned I called them up and made payment, and it just arrived yesterday. Everything works as it should again. Another member here saw the discussion and sent me his remote from his 2013, which doesn't function 100% on my 2011, but does have enough crossover to get a movie going, so I now have more functionality than when I started. Thanks @mexalpix

Hi Folks, my stereo stopped working so I went into the diagnostic menu and saw that rses was ncon, I cleared the codes, checked again and now there is more output, dvd, dtv, r-touch were not there before, and rses has changed to rse, anyone have thoughts here on whether it could be isolated to the rear unit?

I sent mine to United Radio, they have lost the connector to the RES and can no longer test or repair these units.

Supertech also wants me to send the "rear module" back to them as well, i cannot find evidence of a rear module in a 2011, there is a module under the passenger seat that might be what they are after, does anyone have documentation on the components of the system?

anyone figured out how to do a rear ROOF screen delete for 2011 LX 570?
What pins to short so the rest of audio system continues to function?

Hey sorry, this may be too late but the rear module is just the roof mounted screen assembly. That’s what I sent to them.

No worries, thanks for the reply, I was looking to get a newer LC anyway so I traded up without fixing it. I miss the the Mark Levinson system in the LX, but love the newer LC more.

has anyone experimented with GVIF to HDMI converters which can plug into after market roof mounted displays? looks like GVIF is the cable and format which is being used by the rear display. My GROM vline2 has a DVI to GVIF cable which connects to factory head unit. Wanted to see if anyone else has though about messing with GVIF converters or reuse DVI to GVFI to send custom video signals. I also saw rear and front cameras which plug and play with car stereo using this GVIF cables.
