I noticed today that the interior part of my HUD display is full of debris. Apparently, the previous owner had his drivers side window and windshield broke by the lawn care guy and, by the looks of the inside of the center console once removed everything for the Hamilton CarPlay install, it seems they blew all the grass clippings inside the vehicle. I kid, a little, but there has been grass showing up in strange places.

Here’s what it looks like. Would this affect how the HUD displays?

Hello, were you able to figure this out? I’m seeing a similar issue on my LX570, with a lot of dust and debris covering the projector.

After looking through the FSM it looks like you have to remove the entire upper dash assembly which includes gauges and everything. I decided to just live with it. I’m not sure if it’s affecting the image quality or if the slight blur I see is from the aftermarket windshield.

If that dust (whatever it is) is behind the clear plastic it might be worth carefully blasting some compressed air around the area.

There's dust/debris trapped beneath the clear plastic over the projector element. I was hoping the cover could be removed to allow cleaning of the projector. That said, I agree it’s not worth removing the dashboard to address it.

This is a good idea and worth a shot.
