Another reminder of the informal run going in on Friday. Thursday night pizza and  beverages at Wild River in Grants Pass 7 PM. Heading out of the O'Brien store Friday morning at 9:30 now, will run the whole McGrew trail in. PM me for more details or contact info if you need it.

Can we fax it in? I wasn't coming, due to a wedding, but now it looks like Hannah and I will be driving up. I can mail tonight, or?

Can't fax but mail should be fine if you get right on it> I've got you on the list.

Shredded (wild pork) chile verde is one item on the menu

Just a reminder for newbies, wash the truck underside BEFORE you get there. I was not aware of this and I had to go back and wash before I could take the trail.

That sounds great!

I was thinking maybe some carne asada or fajitas!

There will be tortillas ...corn and flour...what are you bringing?

I am going to bring the reeser's potatoe salad. You know, the kind that you throw away the salad and eat the plastic container.

Ok, I know some of you don't have time to whip something up so here is a tip: If you come through Cave Junction, stop at Taylor's sausage and buy some Brats, Polish Sausage, heck- some jerky would go over fine- no worries...

Three bean salad. A Russ in California standby. Brings a little entertainment into the mix for later in the evening.
Oh yeah, and some bivalves for after din din. No heat need apply. Yum, yum.

Tony -- any chance you'd be willing to haul up a 22" weber? If so, I'll crank out some ribs again.

oh you know it Ross! consider it in the back...

Ribs, oysters and mermaids!! Woo Double Hoo!

now if someone brings some 1921 or Don Julio, I may never return.

Oh, the dash plaques will be late again...

Hey Tony do you have the TLCA banner from Rubithon? Art said they aren't any made and to get the one from Rubithon to use.

At our last local not TLCA club meeting the Lost Coast 4 x 4's(of which Russ in California and I are members of) are running the McGrew the same weekend. Some are wanting to camp at Sourdough too. What is the policy for the campground? Of course they will be to themselves and not involved in the TLCA function. There might only be a few rigs that want to camp. So what is the policy for that. Has the TLCA encountered this before on the McGrew. They/we are a great group of enthusiasts. Some have toyota's in their driveways but not members of the TLCA. So there is a possibility that we might have some converts to the TLCA community as well after they see that we are having more fun than them..
Any feed back I can forward to them?

It is a public campground that, unlike the PNW4WDA Fathers Day Run, we do not close for our exclusive use. We have felt it is in bad taste to close public use areas for our exclusive use. At least until some future conflict warrants it (I speculate that that was what happened for their Fathers Day Run ... non-registered people showing up, booney bashing & wreaking havock, then reflecting poorly on them)

We have had non-participants showing up and breaking the rules in the campground, but we have been able to just turn in their vehicle descriptions & the forest service has left us alone. I think as long as these are law-abiding enthusiast out for a trail ride, I don't see why we couldn't share :)
