Gents,

I refreshed my 2008 soccer mom's suspension with the an OEM take-off suspension from a 2020 Heritage Edition, plus an OEM spacer up front. Added HE bronze BBS forged rims wrapped in BFGs. I went with the stock suspension to keep the wife happy with the ride quality but wanted just a touch of lift. It all worked out great, I think! With the OEM front spacer the net lift up front was right at 1.5" over stock (2008) and 2" rear. There's no question that the HE springs provide more clearance than stock TLC. Compared to a 2008, the HE suspension plus OEM front spacer maintains the original forward rake. The 2013s and newer TLCs are more leveled out (slight lift in the front and drop in the rear when compared to a stock 2008 suspension

Many thanks to John T. and Eric S. for their help.

Still able to garage with the roof pod on there, or did it go too high?

I am thinking of going this same path on my 2013. Any issues with the KDSS valves?
Mine are stuck tight so working on getting them loose before attempting any suspension mod.

That is hilarious! Pacific Blue is a rare treat! LOL

…and it looks like we are neighbors, too. ;)

Ha! Too funny. I now see that you're in Boise. We're over that way every now and again. If you're over this way or near IF, hit me up!

I just refreshed our suspension too. Went with OEM Toyota coils and Bilstein 4600's on all four corners. OEM spacer up front. I really dig the bronze HE wheels. But I found our TRD Pros down in SLC and it was just too good of a deal to pass them up. Well executed though. I like yours a lot. Maybe we'll run into e/o one day! Cheers.

That looks spectacular - nice job. It's very cool to see several Pacific Blue's - jealous! Been searching for Amazon Green, Pacific Blue, or LX in Costa Azul Mica, and I've found it requires patience for the right one!

You guys have great taste. I’m running 2” Ironman lift and Icon wheels. Don’t see too many Pacific Blue’s

@scott johnson where did you get the bug deflector/hood visor on your LC200? Ive been looking pretty hard for one, and cant seem to find one anywhere that is designed for the 200...

It came on my truck. It has Toyota engraved on it so I'm thinking its a factory / dealer option part.

Second person to tell me that they think its factory option, guess its decided! Thanks

Before we did my lift we gave them a good soaking of PB Blaster and let it sit on there a while and used an Allen head socket with a long handle ratchet to break them loose.

Love the Pacific Blue Cruisers guys and I have to admit I’m jealous! The Heritage suspension swap with front spacers is a great option for those not wanting to go down the road of after market. Truck looks mean, very nice stance. I’m originally from Poky, cheers! I hope to find a PB someday too!

@sigmundsauer is there any way you happen to have vernier calipers so you can get us a good diameter of the wire on those rear heritage springs? Also need the number of winds if possible..

I’d like to try and compare some of these metrics to the stock base model springs. We are wondering if they are a different rate.

Sorry. I don’t have calipers. However, when I peered under a 2020 TLC and an HE edition it was obvious to me that the HE had an additional wind/coil. This is what sold me on giving it a try. My butt dyno tells me the spring rate is about the same.

Yes, the KDSS valves were an issue but not one I had to personally fight with. I handed the keys to my dealership and let them figure it out. They did indeed say it was a pain. Had to blast it hard with an anti-corrosion bath to get it loose, plus another trick or two. I had the dealership do some other work at the same time. COSTCO Auto Program scored me 15% off labor and parts, too.

@bloc

So I finally got off my lazy rear-end.

I measure the coil thickness at 16.3mm.

I have never engaged in counting coils before and I don't have a base edition to compare against, but.... If I count the coil that touches the upper spring perch, down to where it touches the bottom perch, I count 6 turns.

The number of coils was counted by crawling under from the rear (don't have a lift). And I measured a mid coil and one close to the lower perch and they had the same diameter. Couldn't get my caliper up to the top to see if the coils tapered down in any sort of progressive manner.
