Gents,

I refreshed my 2008 soccer mom's suspension with the an OEM take-off suspension from a 2020 Heritage Edition, plus an OEM spacer up front. Added HE bronze BBS forged rims wrapped in BFGs. I went with the stock suspension to keep the wife happy with the ride quality but wanted just a touch of lift. It all worked out great, I think! With the OEM front spacer the net lift up front was right at 1.5" over stock (2008) and 2" rear. There's no question that the HE springs provide more clearance than stock TLC. Compared to a 2008, the HE suspension plus OEM front spacer maintains the original forward rake. The 2013s and newer TLCs are more leveled out (slight lift in the front and drop in the rear when compared to a stock 2008 suspensionView attachment 2302671View attachment 2302672View attachment 2302673View attachment 2302674View attachment 2302675).

Many thanks to John T. and Eric S. for their help.

If you don't mind me asking, which dealership did you work with to complete the suspension update? Reason why I ask, is I'm considering adding the OEM front spacers to my HE. Way too much rake in stock form...

Edmark Toyota in Nampa. They are the only local Toyota dealer enrolled in Costco's Auto Program.

I worked with the Accessories Manager - Brodie Moore (208) 869-4234.

The stock Land Cruiser springs are pretty soft and depress easily with a load. I personally prefer some rake to compensate for passengers and some kit.

So I finally got off my lazy rear-end.

I measure the coil thickness at 16.3mm.

I have never engaged in counting coils before and I don't have a base edition to compare against, but.... If I count the coil that touches the upper spring perch, down to where it touches the bottom perch, I count 6 turns.

The number of coils was counted by crawling under from the rear (don't have a lift). And I measured a mid coil and one close to the lower perch and they had the same diameter. Couldn't get my caliper up to the top to see if the coils tapered down in any sort of progressive manner.
I’ll get under mine when it stops raining and compare measurements. I think technically it’s “active” coils that count.. meaning any part of the coil that isn’t resting against the seat or another coil. I’ll see what I get and let you know if we need more precision. Possibly with a new thread on the topic.

I love the blue! Nice rigs!
