2007 Tundra rims on a 100

There I was happy as I could be with a 1999 100 bone stock. Theh a frien bought a 2007 Tundra and wanted TRD wheels on it. I got his tundra 18" wheels with 255 70 R-18 mich LTX A/S tires and put then on the land cruiser. It gave me about 1.5" more of ground clearance.

Just my guess but the mods will not stop there. It is a daily drive bought with about 110,000 miles, I am at about 132,000 now. I have had it a few years. I have a work vehicle so I guess a daily drive is an over statement. It sees a little off road in the national forest here around arkansas. I has been a great vehicle.

Yes, they look right on the 100. Are the supposed to be as tough as the OEMs?

I think they look really good. Are they alloy or steel? It gives it that international look.

The rims pictured above are steel, I have a set. I would bet there will be an unlimited cheap supply of these.

They are indeed steel. Heavier than the oem wheels. You can definitely tell the OEM is tougher, especially when comparing the lug nuts.

Technically they are still OEM, as they are Toyota wheels!

Definitely benefits to steel wheels for off road use. If I ever decide to get a second set of dedicated offroad tires for my 100 I will definitely consider those wheels as an option. Thanks for sharing!

Did you have to use different lug nuts for the steel wheels? I seem to think the lug nuts are different for aluminum vrs steel.

yes I had to use the lug nuts that came with the tundra wheels. They are drastically less stout than the original lugs.
