Hello, I just purchased a 2007 lx 470 with 96k miles from an independent dealer. It has been dealer serviced over it's life and timing belt has been replaced. Trying to decide whether to purchase a 4 year extended warranty for $1400. What are the common problems to be concerned with on this model? Thank you in advance for your advice.

$1400 will replace many parts, but I'm a no extended warranty kind of guy.

Welcome! Where is Fulton, county in ga?

I second camino70. Extended warranties are generally wasted money and usually
exclude the things that fail.

That's what I figured and true with most items purchased. I will confirm the coverage (or lack of) for the more common issues on the lx.

I have have a 2007 LX 470 @ 95,600 miles. My good friend (who used to be a Toyota technician) did timing belt, water pump, thermos stat, cam seal, etc, oil change, spark plus, muffler (middle pipe), cv driveshaft, flush and bleed AHC fluid. All for $1,700. It took a whole weekend but my god, the engine is so smooth now. Car rides better too. The failing water pump makes the engine sounds like crap.
Everything is OEM except for the CV driveshaft with is purchased from Napa for $160. The OEM CV are $1,100.
