This is tough but I just don't have time for a project like this right now.

2007 Land Cruiser.
Black Garnet Pearl
180,000 miles

Water pump replaced at 115k, just now failed at 180k and broke the timing belt. Compression test shows 0-50 psi.

The story - I purchased this truck in 2011 with 115k from a wealthy guy that used it to make a 500 mile roundtrip commute from Fredericksburg to Houston each week. He kept a bug shield on it and custom seat covers on the entire time he owned it. When I bought it, it was cosmetically and mechanically perfect.

He replaced the TB but not waterpump, So I did the 90k service again immediately including the WP (full list of items below). My mechanic has the service history list, but I have since replaced T-case and Diff fluid at least once (maybe twice), drained and refilled tranny fluid, repacked wheel bearings with brake job once or twice, replaced coolant and ps fluid, flushed AHC fluid at least twice, kept AHC in alignment with techstream using new rear King shocks and T-bar adjustments, Optima battery, new alternator, new radiator about a year ago, new BFG KO2 about a year ago including spare. This truck has never left me stranded once in 10 years until now.

The LC has only been a city car with an occasional dirt road. Underside is spotless. Cosmetically the car is nicer than any other 07 with 180k miles that you will see. Paint is a 7 or 8 out of 10, inside is a 8/10. Seats have creases, not cracks. The worst thing cosmetically is that I scratched the center console when removing all the fake wood trim and it would look better to replace the center plastic around the shifter.

Car is at the mechanic but I will post pictures soon.

Throwing out at $10,000 or best offer, you pick it up.

Thanks in advance.

Very interested would you mind sending pictures! Is this still forsale?

Sorry for the delay.

I’m having the truck looked at by a second mechanic for a second opinion on whether it can be fixed with new valves/guides and replacement engine opinions. I should know my plans next week whether I am keeping or selling and will let you know.
