I got the same issue, if I fondle the button it will squeak and it actually appears to move in the millimeter range....
Do you intend to get it fixed? I've read that it is possible to set the desired position manually....

Window sticker on my 2000 LX was $62,000
Bought it this month for $10,000 with 109,00 miles-cherry, but only issues are steering column locked in up position probably due to short in the electric motor and ride height stuck in neutral-has never been off road and has all belt and water pump service done at 98,000

I've never quite understood this concept. Every time that I have sold a car to another individual, it has been for cash (in USD) or a wire transfer. I don't finance, accept personal checks (even if you are the widow of some African prince), credit card or any other form of payment. As the seller, am I supposed to swoon over the sight of all of that money and forget my asking price?
I do believe that other forms of payment are acceptable in other countries. Maybe you are forgetting that goats are also forms of payment in the middle east and may be far more valuable than cash.......

In the past week, I have found 2 more minor problems, the steering column makes a noise while telescoping out

There is a rubber sleeve that goes over the nut connected to the steering column, through which the worm screw runs that extends and retracts the wheel. The rubber sleeve can get caught in the treads and eventually jam up the work screw. If This happens and your steering wheel automatically moves when you turn the car off, it will burn up the electric motor.

If you haven't already, pull the plastic covers off your steering wheel and make sure this is not your issue. If you catch it early enough to save the motor, the repair will be very cheap.

Also, a little metal strap on the rubber sleeve is part of the ground circuit for the horn. Of you remove the rubber sleeve, your horn will work intermittently at best.
