Nice cruiser!

Wood grain stickers are a little off but that’s an easy fix

...and they even painted the undercarriage for you - ha

When price seems to good to be true, it usually is! I was about to by a ticket to TN but after a little study it's a no go for me. Spent it's life Greenwich CT on coast.

^ when the undercarriage is painted black like that, its a good warning sign. Not to say rust cant be mitigated somewhat- but at that price point there are better no-rust examples available.

Interior appears pretty clean.

Don't think the paint or whatever that is, is to hide the rust. Quite possible the first owner might have had it reprayed to resist the rust? The frame and all the surfaces look really smooth which won't be the case with the rust which makes the surface rough. Comparing it to the others we have seen, the rig looks just fine. The undercarriage can always be looked at by a PPI shop to rule out the rust. With 2 owners, may be it didn't spend as much time/mileage in CT? I personally think before making any judgment call, interested parties can get a PPI done to get the facts straight.

Autotrader shows 2 and one already sold and look at their prices.

The spare tire hanger says all you need to know.
Cough my eye after noticing undercarriage sprayed.

Spray looks to be oil and recent, not necessarily a bad thing! Got me to look since out of (seller) TN.

I've seen where rear area has more surface rust or even just one side of a rig. Those rigs (surface rust) don't trouble me, as can be a one off just localized. The vehicles clues need to be taken as a whole. For me I stopped looking once i found from rust belt. Those rigs have issue you can't see "yet" within panels, parts and threads of bolts that goes well beyond surface rust. Had this been from other than rust belt, I'd pulled carfax next and have deposit down ASAP. For me; mechanical stuff is negotiating points, "rust belt" is a show stopper when looking for clean.

Price really isn't that bad if truly clean. Those are going for in the $30K range now, a few out there in the $40K's. I'm actually seeing pricing going up on the VVt equip 100 series Land Cruiser, especial a clean 07. In contrast, I saw a steep drop off in the 200 series this last year and older 100 series.

A low mileage truck from NE with this mileage and not driven much in snow, should that be passed too? I still think considering the price, a good solid PPI is on order here.

Every time I've looked at rig form NY to Chicago, it's been a waste of my time. So I just skip over those.

So many think snow and road salts are the issue. Wrong, that just washes off.

I do have one rust bucket, it's my beater. It spent some time in Boston based on a Boston Univ bumper sticker. It's not really all that bad but works me hard dealing with bolts. It will never have value IMHO. But hey, I park in front row WF or Trader Joe's and could care less if I get dings. Some don't care about body they don't want to worry about scratching. But rust in panel s and bolts cost in extra labor and parts. If I spary oil on it, I'll bet it will look better then most from rust belt.

2000LX here's worst area on it: This is before cleaning/revealing

Worth looking at close.

Snow is not the issue. I'd buy from MT or ND.

I must be a sucker and very impatient but coming from Boston and looking for about a month this looks like a no brainer.

^ move... I looked really hard at it myself too but just couldn't justify selling my '99 and spending another $16,000 to drive and sit the same body style... I have a non enthusiast car friend who is suppose to have called him today with deposit but haven't heard anything back yet.
I am sure there are people behind the door making deal as we speak :)

thanks I tried and didnt hear back either.

Found out from a friend who's 2nd in line, the thing just got sold (had a verbal agreement since last week) and is gone. It sounded like a nice truck at a great price.
Friend ran a CF as well and it seems like it was in CT until 2014 and 36,000 miles in 10 years with the 24,000 in the last 4 years in TN. I was told the truck was looked at by shop as well and all came back fine

Seems like we missed out a great Rig for such a good price.

Any one here bought it? Considering the CF details ^, don't think rust would have been an issue, probably never even driven in snow, be my guess.

This lame attempt at covering rust with spray paint has been really in lately. I've noticed this on some 4Runners/Tacos on BringaTrailer with rusty frames that have been rattle canned and labeled as rust-free...and people still bid on them.

I would respect this shop if they had just left the underbody as it was when they received it. Pure dishonesty.
