After a LOT of trial and error with several different products, I have settled on a set-up for my ’06 Land Cruiser that works well, is easy to use (esp. w/ 'OK Google' voice commands) and cost just over a hundred bucks. Is it perfect? No, but it beats spending hundreds or even thousands on fancier solutions. Sometimes simple (and cheap) is good enough for me.
