Drive a brand new FZJ-71 ( 75 79 ) is very impresive .. Short Vehicle with a lot's ( really lots ) of power .. In veenzeula are by far the most selling Cruiser ..

For sure an FZJ-80 also awesome but more heaviest rig.

it's a pity that Toyota don't sell to Panamá one HDJ-70 model .. :D only the HZJ-70

Estimado Terrax,

That would make sense! Actually, I have been consulting with Toyota Ecuador to see if I could import a 70 series 4.2 turbodiesel from Japan. This is particularly attractive, since I have tax exempt status in Ecuador, which could save me about $5,000 on the purchase price, which could easily cover transport costs... I wish Toyota just made these vehicles available so we would not have to go through such hassles...

Viva el Peru carajo!! At one time when Fujimori was president lots of low mileage vehicles were being imported from Japan at a low cost, I've seen lots of 70 series in Peru. You might consider going over the border.

If you are thinking of buying a new LC 70 in Japan for export forget it. They stopped selling the 70 models here years ago.

SA import

Wayne..have you ever looked into importing LHD trucks from South America?

yes i have. i have a contact down there. we have not found anything yet that is good enough to go through the trouble that is 15 years old....
cheers

I just got back home from a month long trip down to Peru and Equador. Spent some time in Quito, and saw a ton of 70 series cruisers and dual sport motorcycles. My kinda country!
