I found a blue 2005 LX470 with 105K and in mint condition, all stock and with 7K work of maintenance recently performed. Seller asking 31K. The paint and interior are in mint condition as well as the undercarriage. Is this a good deal? Considering this of a newer GX of same price point.

Wouldn't call it a good deal, about the going rate these days for the mileage.
You could get into a 200 series for that coin, unless you're like some of us and prefer the more analog tech
and want to get into the 100 series.

I was thinking if it's the going rate for the mileage, the fact that it just had 7K worth of maintenance including new radiatior, timing belt, steering rack to name the major things, this would be considered pretty good. Looking for someone to help push me over the edge! haha

Since you're asking....I would say not even close to a good deal.

I'd say that if you're in need of convincing then you probably already think it's not a good deal.
$25k maybe, but you'll have to decide what it's worth to you and how much you want to get into it.

I've over paid for a car or 2 but it's only because it's what I was looking for and had no hesitancy when throwing the money down on it.

Looking at what's been going on with BAT someone will pay the $31k on it.
But most of those show back up somewhere a year later for sale again

that sounds about right, i was looking on BAT as well. I plan on putting another 5 or 6K into the rig for lift, tires, wheels and maybe a bumper or two.

That's steep, but as others have said it's the going rate. Would I pay that much for it? No. Really depends on your plans for it. Are you wheeling it? Are you planning to drive the wheels off it? This thing will go to 500k miles and beyond so you'll get value out of it. I've had my 100 for 10 years now and if I had to go back I would pay double for it knowing what's done for me and the memories I've had in it.

Also, $7k of maintenance sounds good, but how much of that is labor? I'd want to hear more about the value add to the vehicle? i.e. new parts, fluids etc. $7k in maintenance with at least 50% labor and surely a mark up on parts may not really be all that much. It's great to have all that done, but I wouldn't use that $7k number to justify the high price.

the major items were new radiator, hoses, T's, water pump, timing belt, steering rack and bunch of misc. fluids and parts.

I don't think the 7K in maintenance adds anything other than peace of mind. It is "Maintenance", meaning it needed to be done. These are not "add-on" type items where they are typically worth 40-50% to the right buyer.

Because the dealer changed fluids and worn out parts doesn't add value IMHO. Nice to have but not $$$$ add ons.

What would you consider a good deal given the condition and maintenance that was performed? Dealer is selling and originally was asking 33K.
Others have already answered but…. With the Land Cruiser/LX species of vehicle, low mileage is not “all that” compared to high mileage. With just basic maintenance I don’t think there is much difference in quality, reliability or longevity in the two,(like others have alluded to many times on Mud).

However, and ironically, I think you can go back and look at thread after thread on this site and see surprising issues that come up maybe even more with low mileage vs. high mileage. And I would say it is directly because of being low mileage sitting too much not on its feet moving like they’re designed.

The above is my opinion when assessing a “good deal” for normal use and price point trying to get the most for less… hence a “good deal”.

But now days the low mileage 80 and 100 series are getting high prices due to the vintage affect and people pay it for that reason. But the chances are extremely good that the overall cost of ownership with the vehicle you’re looking at will be more than the good condition copy at $8-10k.

So “good deal” can have several meanings.
