For Sale 2004 UZJ100 Land Cruiser - Galactic Gray

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, Skimlinks, and others.

We are the third owners. We are selling because my wife is going back to grad school, so we are cutting our expenses until she is done.

2004 Toyota Land Cruiser. V8, All Wheel Drive, third row seats, leather, Navigation, sunroof, DVD, rear air, etc. Loaded!

102k miles and as dependable today as the day it rolled off the assembly line. 4.7L V8 with a 5-speed automatic and hi/lo transfer case. Drives great on the road and tackles anything off the road.

Front headlights and grill were upgraded to the 2006-07 design due to MUCH better light output. Headlights are OEM with OEM trim pieces and aftermarket grille. Cosmetic only and NOT because of a wreck, and I have the before pics as well as progress pics to prove it.

[STRIKE]We are looking for KBB Private Party Value. $23,500.[/STRIKE]

$20,950 FIRM

I will post pics ASAP!

More pics coming today.

Will be replacing with a 2006-2008 4Runner 4WD Limited. Would consider trading on a Galactic Gray, Titanium Silver, and Salsa Red Pearl for colors. Probably between 70k and 130k miles, and up to $18k on price. Would consider Sport Edition or Urban Runner, but ONLY in 4WD. No SR5 or 2WD. Let me know if interested....

Sorry, the ad was live this morning (placed yesterday).

This afternoon, I logged in from work to make a quick change. Autotrader's servers detected that the corporate proxy I was on was located in Canada. Because of that, they pulled the ad. Now I had to get it re-insated, and of course, that takes another 24-hours to go live.

I had a similar issue yesterday trying to pay to get the ad started to begin with.

Just a fair warning if you use them - you MUST be in the US with a US IP Address or they will not allow your ad to be placed or even remain.

Everything should be back in place tomorrow afternoon.

Bump for a sweet 100. Timing is off for me or I would buy it today.

Thanks- yeah I posted that from my iPhone.

Bump.

Anybody want to swap headlights, grille and trim? (you MUST have an 03/04/05).

Too bad you don't want the sport version of the 4runner, I have an excellent '05 Silver V8 with ~2" spacer lift, and 265 Nitto Terra Grapplers on it... Been looking for another hundred for a while to replace the 4runner HA, talk about irony... If the M3 sells I might be getting back with you...GLWTS

It's just hard for me to get past the flat-top wheel openings of the 03-05 4runners. Reminds me of a Chevy Avalanche!

So, what is keeping this particular UZJ from selling?

Is it the updated headlights and grille? Does that make people "nervous" that it's been in a wreck?

Is it the de-flared fenders?

We don't have to sell it. We have a year before my wife starts her clinicals, so we're in no hurry to "downsize" on the vehicles. I just took our GS450h off the market rather than give it away for less than book trade in values. I might just do the same with the Cruiser. Frustrating when you list a vehicle for $21k and you get lowball offers of $15k from vultures looking to take advantage of someone in a desperate situation. Sign of the times, I guess.

Just curious why it's still available, but priced fairly according to recent book values...

Bump for a good looking Hundy (in a great color)

Not in the market right now but nice looking rig...

If you want my honest opinion, it hasn't sold because it's in a wierd price point with a limited market. The majority of guys who are looking for a wheeling truck typically don't pay more than $15K. 100's under that price point move pretty quick. The competition for $23K is pretty attractive. A few grand more gets you VVT-i and AHC on a Cruiser, or a whole lot of something else. Not that I don't think you're asking a fair price, just that I think the '04-'07, mostly stock, used Cruiser market is pretty small compared to the built-99, or stock '00-'01 market for 8-grand less. However, if it was black and tan, and six months from now, I'd have bought it already! GLWS!

edit -> and not to nitpick more, but in post #23, you should adjust the color of the pics in photoshop or similar. It looks loke you have tan carpet with grey leather. Do you?

I know what you mean. BTW, I'm at $21k, not $23k. 06+ start at $25k and go north of $30k all day. For $5k+, all you get is 24hp, AHC, different headlights, grille, and LED tail lights.

Lots of people don't want AHC, and since most people don't drive with the skinny pedal to the floor, they won't ever miss the 24hp difference.

Why can I say that? Because before this UZJ, I owned a 2007. Before that one I owned a 2000. I've had the 4.7L with a 4 speed, the 4.7L VVTi with the 5 speed, and now this 4.7L with the 5 speed. Honestly, the 5 speed is the difference and not the 24HP jump. It's a WORLD of difference with the A750f compared to the A343.

On the headlights and tail lights, the front has been converted. Rear lights are $200 on eBay.

On the pics, I'll re-adjust them in photoshop. It's all gray. However, I have partial color blindness, so I can't tell between gray and brown shades, so I don't see the difference. That might be what's scaring people off! THANKS!

I took all the pics on my iPhone and ran them through Camera+. Apparently it shifted the hue and saturation enough to make the carpets and other interior pieces look tan in the setting sunlight (awashed with lots of yellow light). I adjusted them in photobucket via PIXLR now and should look "normal". On average, I adjusted the Hue down about 18-20% and the Saturation down about 10-15% during the adjustment of the pics.
