Question for the group: Does 2004 UZF100 have a connector for this coolant temperature sensor? I am almost done rebuilding my 2UZFE and can't find a clip for it anywhere on the engine harness. I started unwrapping the loom to see if I can find a broken wire, no luck. I know that only earlier models had this sensor. Thank you all in advance!

Does your temp guge work?
The two pin sensor is a very important sensor for the engine performance.. I leaned it hard way and blew the HG due to pre ignition on my corolla 92.

I don’t know yet, have yet to start the motor. Wanted to track this down first. The two wire sensor has a clip, it’s the single wire sensor that I am not even sure ever existed.

I know my 2000 model does because the plug broke when i removed it recently.

This is the clip that I am looking for. DuckLN what year is your cruiser? I wonder if certain years had this sensor but didn’t utilise it. Thank you for quick response btw!

98-02 have two sensors. One is for gauge and the other used by ECM.
03-05 No wire is attached to the lower water sensor. Top water sensors is used by ECM & dash water temp gauge.
06-07 One water temp sensor, for ECM & water temp gauge. Has redesigned front water bypass joint with only one sensor hole.
