2001 LX470 Torque Converter locked up! Advice for repair?

Anyone ever get any info on this issue.....I'm in the same boat..

It dies rather abruptly when dropped into drive or reverse, with a rough lunge first. In LOW it will attempt to die, but manages to get crawling before doing so.

I have the same issue. Truck dies with a slight lunge when shifting into D and R. Got the rig going in low and I drove to a hill. I was able to get truck into high D and hit the road.
Truck cruising at 60 I continued hold pedal at 60 mph white gently pressing brake pedal, every time my rpm bumped up 500-1000 rpm as it should. Meaning TC was working...came to a stop in H drive and it's fixed!

Am I in the clear or where do I look next. Electrical???
