I just had all my speakers replaced.

Now the sound system is silent: no sound at all on any CD or radio station or any volume level.

Is there an amplifier fuse to check? Maybe the installer touched a wire and shorted something?

The head unit lights up and seems to function fine, so my understanding is it wouldn't be the audio fuse?

I guess the installer didn't bother to check one speaker at a time. He replaced all six at once (four full range and two tweeters) and now it's silent.

Thank you

Installer reports that it worked fine right after install. Trustworthy guy, so I believe him. But when I turned it on a few hours later it was silent.

Depending on how he wired it, it could have been supplying to manyvolts to the input of the factory amplifier and fried it. You will need to bypass the factory amp or replace with an aftermarket if so.
