The inner hood had some work to do but we are not spending super much time on this repair since it covers almost all the way. Minor repairs on the inner doors then the full chassis will get a 3rd coat of epoxy primer this time before the Imron paint and clear coat made for durability

Quick update on the chassis finished the floor welding after sandblast we counted 30 holes of gunshots my friend said he never seen this apart that on TV 😳

2 cracks we’ve missed on the drivers side and passenger side too

I also discovered that the passenger door frame was crushed by 3/8 inch...so we used 10 tons to redress it

I had to unwrap the box because the bracket was inside the tent so here's a glimpse :) of my Christmas present. Note the bracket are fixed inside the chassis and I wanted them with a real nut not rivnut that will loosen + I want the white too hahaha

Today I finished sanding the frame, inspection of the wire transmission, cleaning the plugs!
I need to figure out where is located the transmission drain plug and put her some news fluid anyone can point me out 🤣

Meantime we have mounted the switch pro
On the firewall with real screw!

Also decided to weld bolt on the aprons front and rear to have solid Kut snakes since the kit come with small screws it’s not a good combo for rust

Thems switch pro's are spendy! What all are you planning to run through it?

Like the progress so far, but I am guessing you are not coming for a visit this year? 😜 Looks like you will still have a hobby through the winter!

Yeah, the switch pro was a bit salty! I'll run interior light, heat seats, compressor, and rear light for camp and they are all programable so I am certain to find some utility
I am hoping, I know I hope too much to have the cabin back on the frame in September... Playing a little with the truck this fall would be nice!

The interior cabinet will be this winter for sure and later the turbo set up... I have come to understand this is not a race just want to do it right! Plenty of rocks to turn until then :)

Sanding the radiator grill today it’s ready to be punched to 3´´ hole in preparation for the PDI intercooler. Also worked on the Safari snorkel they don’t say anything about cutting the air intakes! Tomorrow’s project then will sand it and paint it in black

First coat of epoxy primer done ✅ this product is amazing it penetrates deep and cover the metal no more gun holes both floors are done along with the walls interiors 😌

Both interior floors and exterior will be white in Gator 🐊

I will update for more in a few day working to finish sanding the frame and some minor’s welding spots !

Whoa! Is that a grain of the sand you were using to sand blast on the table there in the second picture??? How does it not damage the hinges? Remember to remind me to never mess with you! LOL
30-60 recycled glass the soft one not the rough sand! The hinge are bare metal with old paint and rust! I purchased new cover too and I will re-grease them once painted white 058
Sanding is not so fun but it get the job done very well to take off rust especially! The gun won’t travel with me 🤣🤣🤣

You should have upgraded your drain and fill plugs to 90341-18021 , to quote @OGBeno
I thought about it but I am replacing the whole thing for the H152 when I rebuilt the engine turbo but that’s in a few months 12-18 month ☺️

Current State tomorrow will tape and cover the parts in preparation for the frame paint job
I wish I could remove the engine and paint the cross member but that’s gonna have to wait until next year or so … it’s very humid here so I have crank the heater and dehumidifier to avoid water in the hoses when spraying
