2000 LX470 Engine Swap

Hello,

I have a 1999 LX470 with 140K miles. Great engine but bad frame condition due to rust. I found a 2000 LX470 with 260k Miles , great frame condition, reasonably priced. Is it possible to put the 1999 LX470 engine into 2000 LX470 ? If possible, how much would it possibly cost to swap at at local indie shop ? Should I also swap the tranny as well ? Does the effort even make sense ?

Pretty sure that 260K miles lexus runs good too, pretty low mileage for these vehicles. I don't know, i don't think it makes any sense to do the swap, unless that 260K lexus spun a rod or something.

I'm at 320k in my 99 lx470. Still runs like new

Yeah, I concur with everyone above. My LX with 235k runs as well as my LX with 108k. I wouldn't do a swap if it were me.
