NEW PRICE - 2000 lx 470 BUILT

Hello Guys

I am currently selling my built 2000 Lx 470. It has around 156,000 miles. It is in EXCELLENT shape and it’s equipped nicely. The leather is in good conditions for being a 13 year old car, as well as the paint.

- Asking price is $16,000.

Ok here is the list:

· ARB bumper
· Safari snorkel
· 5 305 Bf Goodrich Km2 (I had a flat tire once so I bought two new ones and put the barely used as a spare)
· Seat covers with Lexus logo
· $1,500 stereo system. Pioneer head unit, JL marine speakers, JL amplifier, and 2 12’’ JL subs. I only got the 2 12’’ subs because I had the idea of building the drawers in a way that the subs weren’t going to be visible so I was afraid that I would loose bass because of the way it was designed.
· ARB air compressor (cant remember the model but its one of the bigger ones)
· ARB rear locker. (When I had this installation done I was going to put the front differential as well so I bought nitto gears for the front and the rear. At the end I: -changed both gears – kept the same size – and only put the rear locker. Yes it was a little dumb but at the end I new I wasn’t going to use the front differential and I wanted to have new gears for my peace of mind)
· OME 2.5 medium suspension

Most likely I’m forgetting something.

The truck has been taken off-roading 3 times. Twice in Florida (which there’s really nothing here to do) and once in NC (in an event called Overland Rally. Which was a very mild off-roading. There’s actually nothing Rally about it.). I didn’t buy and built this truck for this purpose.
I bought it for traveling with my motorcycle. It’s actually gone 3 times to Georgia (including the Overland rally). What I do is that we load the bikes on a trailer and drive north (usually Georgia), we ride and then we head back. I equipped it heavily because we had bigger plans to traveling farther and to more remote places but since life sometimes changes route drastically, this never happened.

I had to move outside the country and it kills me having the truck parked. I baby all my cars and I actually sold all of them before moving except for this one. But it’s time. I didn’t want to sell her for 2 reasons: 1. All the money I’ve invested on it and 2. I had hopes that one day I will return and I could do with it what I really bought it and built it for. The car is currently parked in my parents place up in Boca Raton, covered, where once a week they drive for an entire day. Usually my dad takes it to work.

Mechanically:

Mechanically the car is in PERFECT shape. All services done on time and the time belt was changed on time as well. Oil is changed every 3,000 miles. I had only one issue that once the CHAIN broke. I immediately stopped, put it a towing platform and took it to my mechanic. That time I also changed the RADIATOR (only because it was a little banged up and since the vehicle was used for traveling long distances I didn’t want to take any risks).

Over all guys it’s a great, clean car and very reliable. I am the 3rd owner and the second owner bought it when it had 4000 miles and drove it for about 112,000 miles (his wife actually). I forgot to mention that when I bought the car the gear box to engage 4 low was frozen, due to the fact that it was never engaged in its life.

This is a great car for someone who wants a built, clean, reliable 100 series without having to go through all the hassle that I’ve been through.

Please take in mind ALL that I’ve invested on the car. I paid $16,000 for the car. It has around $5,000 in accessories and like $3,000 mechanically. My loss is your gain. I am opened to offers but please don’t throw me ridiculously low numbers because I am in no rush for selling and the car is worth every penny. I will not sell parts separately and all the original parts I have can go with car as well.

The car is actually under my mothers name so when the time comes she can sign the title. Also I can have my brother help if anyone wants to fly in and/or send it somewhere else with a transportation company.

Please don’t hesitate in asking any questions or request more pictures. And if there’s something that I can do to help with the sale I will gladly do it.

My brothers phone number is 786-395-2109. If you have any questions he can answer them almost as good as me. Or else you can PM me through here, or email me at anajj001@gmail.com or if you want to call me my Italian phone number is +39-345-329-7533. Please take in mind the time difference.

**NOTE**- The Lightforce beams, the winch, and the CB Radio were removed from the truck. Updated pictures are posted below.

As opposed to paying in IOUs?

Always love it when people say they'll pay in cash..... Like there is an alternative

This guy definitely wants cash. I offered him 6 beaver pelts and a stick of gum and he didn't even counter !

As opposed to a check that has to go through multiple financial institutions?

Many people are clueless and shop for cars without cash in hand and no financing lined up, and waste everyone's time upon learning they can't get financing for thr csr they have just promised to buy. Have seen this many times. Cash implies the buyer is ready to go.

Do you still have this & what would you take cash for it ?

Yes i still have it. I would take either physical cash and/or wire transfer. Thanks

I looked at this truck on Saturday for a MUD member who is out of state. I have no affiliation with the seller but thought I would post and let people know my thoughts. Again, no affiliation with anybody including seller. I am local, so I went to see the truck as a favor to said member but I figured anybody else who is interested in the truck would like to see another person's opinion.

- Truck started right up, sounds pretty good. It's a bit throatier in the exhaust than my old LX was, the seller said resonator had been cut out.
- Drives straight and absolutely no vibrations in steering wheel. Got up to probably 50mph. There is what looks like a 1" diff drop to help the CV angles.
- All windows operate
- ARB compressor works
- Air locker appears to work
- Leather in pretty good shape considering the age, driver seat is the worst and could use some good conditioning
- There is a timing belt sticker on the engine cover which appears to read either 103,225 or 108,225 miles, it's a bit hard to read.
- Brakes grab well and feel good

Seller (and his brother) appear to be straightforward in disclosing everything about the truck. My personal opinion is that this is a good price for what you are getting. If you want to discuss any more specifics feel free to PM me and I'll try to answer if I can.

Thank you to Michael for showing me the truck, and good luck with the sale.
