So, been reading for a week or so on installing a P3 controller into my 2000 L/C. For grins, before I started cutting into the wiring, I look to see if there was the "2003+" plug at the proper location and lo and behold, there is. Has anyone else noticed this? Curious if it is rated properly or if there is another plug of the exact same form factor I might be confusing this one with. Any help would be appreciated :)

Where is the "proper location" on the +2003 models? About to install on my 99- figured I'd look first. thanks

The proper wire to tap into is the green and white wire on top of the break pedal switch. There are plenty of green and white wires down there so make sure you get the right one. I have been trying to get my p3 installed correctly and finally asked Christo to look it up for me and now Im confident I can figure it out.

I did the install yesterday, it took about four hours all told, running all new wire, and including figuring out a location for two auto-resetting circuit breakers. I also had to wire in a new 7 blade trailer plug receptacle, because my vehicle only had a four wire. I used this post to get the connection to hook to the cold side of the brake line:

Now I just had to figure out how to mount the P3 in the ashtray in a way that allows it to receive the ashtray when not towing... My wife likes her coin tray...
