I’m waiting for all of the kinks to be worked out on the different Apple CarPlay solutions or Tesla style units.

I think the Grom V-line is reasonably good. At least it was in the 08 GX. I’m not about to jump in the dash and test it out though. 🤣

Had one in my 100, worked great!

Received my first round of parts, new proximity key last week. Today I got the parts to turn the rear entertainment into use via an Apple device. Also, picked up Virtual box to run Techstream. Called the dealer to set up an appt for them to program the key and wanted $300. No thanks. My partsouq order is in Italy at the moment, things are going to get put back in order as they should be.

No way to on the 14 LX. Guess the tech changed.

So I worked on this, this afternoon. Wasn’t hard just needed to work out the right settings here and there. So to start I bought the following:

Apple Lightening to HDMI

Apple Lightning to Digital AV... Amazon product ASIN B009WHV3BM
HDMI to A/V hood old school yellow, white and red connectors.
HDMI to RCA Converter, HDMI to AV... Amazon product ASIN B08CH91V1W

The HDMI does have a power cord which I connected to the 12v below the connectors on the back of the center console with a USB plug. From the connectors the HDMI cord (I only have on hand a 6 foot cord so buying a much shorter male to male connector as a replacement) plugs into the Apple HDMI cord which then plugs into the phone, ipad, whatever your flavor of Apple product.l you desire as long as it’s lightening port. (Android would also work, just find the appropriate adapter for your device)
On your monitor you need to make sure you select the Rr-A/V option. You also must make sure the device you have connected is not also connected to the vehicles Bluetooth. The player will not work if it’s connected to both at the same time.
You will also want to make sure the HDMI adapter setting is the same on both the adapter and monitor. The monitor defaults to NTSC which is the US setting and PAL is everywhere else. It’s simply the color encoding system. They must be the same for the AV to work. I’d just leave it as is, I switched them and didn’t see any discernible difference. The wireless headphones work great with this. If your back seat riders can work the Apple device it’s perfect and those who can’t, the cords are long enough to run up to the front so the front seat people can control what’s on.
I plan on plugging in a firestick or Roku stick and will be able to access the exact same menu in the car as you do at home.

Pretty slick.

Good lord, just watch it on the phone for all that mess 🤪
😂, it’s not that bad, just had to get there. But this allows the back seat folks to watch the slightly bigger screen and use the wireless headphones. I mean I know all that can be done on the phone but this is cool 🤣

Makes me sick.
