No information yet.

Regardless, 2017 is the most important year for the LC as it will have to conform to very stringent CAFE rules.

Wouldn't be surprised if they introduce the Atkinson cycle into the power plant.

Japan is already starting the retool. Next gen V8 for Lexus is 5.0 for the badass LC500
Cruiser engine will be some derivative from this block, if history gives us a clue.

Lexus used the 4.3L bored out create to the 4.7L 100-series and the 4.6L bored out to create the 5.7L 200-series.

I can see the LS500 being the next awesome engine 5.0L.
Maybe it becomes the 6.??L something in the 300 series

The 1UZ-FE (4.0 V8) was the foundation for the 2UZ-FE (4.7L V8).

Yessir. Follow the internal Toyota numerical designations for engine family development:

1UZ-FE: 1st iteration.
2UZ-FE: 2nd iteration.
3UZ-FE: 3rd iteration.

Possibly. I do not know how Toyota re-engineers old engines to make new ones from this time period. It was pretty simple back in the day.

I've gotten about 1/2 that before. It took me a 1.5 tanks to get from Jackson to Atlanta just recently.

Went and looked at a 16 LC. The LX is leaps and bounds nicer for 16. Either case it looks like wife is on to other rigs now.
