Diesel or Gas? Manual Tranny?

At idle, the motor sounded like it could possibly be a diesel, but driving around it sounds like a petro engine with a throaty exhaust. It does not have a noticable turbo whine like a diesel would have. (I know it had diesel stickers on the side, but it does not sound like a turbo diesel.)

It definitely sounds like a manual transmission.:hhmm:

The engine is the twin turbo V8 diesel offering. I read somewhere it runs on a diesel mix of some sort...can't remember now. There may be a lack of turbo whine because it is running two and it is so noisy, not sure why? I would love to have that rig.

I wish there was a list of all mods and which products they were using. Last time I researched they were using OZ Wheels.

Yes you are correct they are the KM2 and i believe the size is 255/85R16s

Not sure if the above size is correct. They look way to wide to be 255 (I'm running 275s and these look wider than mine), also, I don't think a 16" rim would cover any brakes on there (unless they are modified to be smaller) it is probably a 17" wheel.

There's a big chance that I'll be able to get access to the bivouac and meet these guys tonight or at a minimum get a close look at the trucks. Wish me luck. I'll try to take as many pics as possible.
Please find out as many technical points as you can about the truck...especially what wheels they are using (name, size, offset, etc.).

You are our only hope! Good Luck to you!!!

They are using the 1VD-FTV (245 PS / 3,800 rpm) engine and the tire size is 285/70/17.

Simple:

It's the VDJ200 Series

Sorry I didn't see your post until this morning. The team was very busy and focused working on Mitsuhashi's 200 (which was the only that had arrived at the Bivouac by the time) so I just introduced myself and asked for persmission to take pictures. I noticed the wheels were ENKEI.

When I was leaving I crossed paths with 3 more 200s, sporting rooftop tents and the like.

I will post the pics during the day, it's a super busy day at work today, so please stay tuned.
