Man, what was this thread about again? I am lost...
200 great dog breeds, and why German Shepherds are the bestest of the best.

I was going with the Great Pyrenees?? (However, the shedding and coat maintenance definitely subtract a solid 2 stars)

Look, GSDs are the original best dog, before all these regulations and restrictions came into play. They're from the peak-dog era that we will not see again. The kids these days with their Great Pyrenees will never understand the emotional thrill of potentially losing your fingers at any moment while you brush the dog out. Sure, the GP is faster on the farm and is more a more practical daily, but there's no replacing that real feeling you get with a GSD. You'll have to pry the fur brush out of my cold, dead hands.

Love a power breed.

Couldn't agree more about the GSD's, I rescued my GSD from the local animal shelter in 2009 - the day after I closed on my first house. He went all over the Western US with me and up till I got married, had my boys. He lived out a great 14 years - Miss him all the time

My Pyrenees is a giant goof and has a bit of Newfie in him, super protective in a very LOUD way - But the slobbering is worse than the hair

200 > 250
Malinois > GSD

Sucks that the amazing run of the 80-->100-->200 is over. We all wish it wasn't. But we are all lucky (and smart) enough to own 200s. I will never sell mine and I suspect many (most?) here feel the same way. Cheers to the best all around vehicles ever made.

I am at 289k on my 200. Love it more than my wife

That said - the 300 is amazing - if it didnt have a junk motor that needs replacing by dealer monkeys

I have never sat in a 300, but heard complaints from people that did saying it is not as tightly and bank-vault-feeling put together as the 200. Maybe someone here could chime in if they experienced a 300. Even more interesting if it was the actual LC, not the LX600. The good run is certainly over in terms of engine. That's for sure. Bad gas mileage and all, no plans to sell mine either.

I spent good amount of time in the ME in Aramco 300 LC base models. Aside from junk motor and terrible tailgate - I really liked it

I want a used LX600 but not with junk motor usdm style

I sat in a 300 at the dealer after I dropped mine for service. It felt as well built as mine, just with lighter components. I know it goes against what we all love.

To be fair to Toyota, I have felt the same thing in every new Porsche model. The new Cayenne's materials even 5 feet away with the door open you can see the materials are a step below. The 991 even if you got a base Carrera with no heated seats you got an alcantara headliner. It was an awesome touch. Ditched for the 992. They have to pay those diesel fines somehow.

Back to Toyota, I'm sad to see these issues with the new engines. Hopefully they get sorted, I'd love to add a 300 to the mix.
