There's more to it than just two-row versus three-row and the base MSRP is only $5K between the two. That said, most three-rows are ordered with the luxury package, ML sound system and 21's which add up to another $5K in options totaling a $10K difference between the standard two-row. ML definitely has an added value on the secondary market but the third row is personal and somewhat polarizing given the less livable design of the jump seats. The 300 definitely got the third row right even if it did drop the nod to the tradition of the jump seats. I don't think two-row models will be any less desirable or valuable (short of the options) as there are much better third rows in large SUV's on the market should a buyer really need that space.
Ah got it. How is the standard sound system? I’m not impressed by my 04 ML lol
I just put a deposit on a 2018 LX 44k miles for $66k.
How much of a covid premium am I paying? What was a 3 yr old lx selling for prior to the pandemic ?
Ugh- just missed out on a 2018 LC, 40k miles @ $61k. Black over Terra. One one owner trade in. Saw it pop up last night. By the time I got a call back this morning, I was 7th in line and sold before I could say “deposit”.
2017 Magnetic Gray w/ black leather. 20K miles on a California lease return. All dealer services. Certified. $63K
2017 Single owner in San Antonio. Blue/Terra interior. Perfect condition/not a spot of rust, 100% maintained at same dealership/oil changes etc. 56K miles for $54K.
My wife stole it from me!
Just purchased a 2016 LC, 79,000 miles on it. Immaculate condition. Dealership maintained. An additional 70,000 mile warranty was purchased for it.
Colorado car. Clean carfax. $49,000.
Was that a good deal?
I was shopping around in mid January (pre full blown COVID) and saw another '16 with 50k miles asking $57k. The manager wasn't willing to move on the price at all and said he would rather keep it on the lot until this all blows over. Was not an isolated case either..
With a three-row you can always remove the third row, but you can’t (easily/practically) add a third row to a two-row vehicle.
It’s like a house or condo: more rooms is always better. If they’re not needed, they won’t be used, but if someone needs them, they won’t be able to get by without them.
The LX570 2-row were also mostly missing ventilated seats. That was a deal breaker to me.
No ML audio, no HUD. Only 2 interior colors and less if you want luxury package. Just check configurator
I agree with this, just stated facts. I wanted red leather so had no choice. And even though I care less about 3rd row SO said we need it. Just in case.ML is overhyped IMHO and most don't crank their music once they get beyond their youth. I've never found HUD to be of any practical use beyond flying lol, YMMV.

Not complaining, it's great in the hi and mid range but it's not award winning IMHO and certainly not a deal breaker for myself if it has it or not.
MSRP on 3 row is $10,000 more than 2 row.
Years down the line, does this actual reflect in significant higher resale value for 3 rows? Or is it just a preference of the new buyer
