I'm contemplating about adding a rear metal bumper with tire carrier. I'm currently using ome 861/862 stock height replacement springs with MAF 30mm spacers. Future plans will include a slee shortbus, winch, and dual batteries which will lower the front a little. OmE 861 is a heavy spring, so it'll handle the additional weight, but the rear is 862 medium. I measured the height from the center hub, so from ground to bottom of the fender is 37". Does anyone have a 2" lift springs they can measure for me? Currently have 285/75R16. The only 2" heavy springs I found so far is ironman. OME starts at 2.5". I'm trying to keep the height same as what I have now in order to park it inside my garage.

All of OME's (non-competition) springs are "2.5" lifts", but they are 2.5" at rated load. Meaning the medium lift is about 2.5" lift with a stock vehicle. Heavy lift is about 2.5" if you added around a hundred pounds front (or more back). Extra heavy "J" springs are about 2.5" if you add even more weight. I think "J" springs are closer to 4 or 5" lift in front on an unweighted vehicle.

If you plan to choose a lift and care about the difference between 2" and 2.5", you'll REALLY need to have your weight set. I got almost half an inch of lift in the back of my Cruiser when I removed the rear seats ...just as an example.

Thanks for the advice. My goal is 37" from ground to fender with a metal bumper/tire carrier. I'm wondering if anyone is running this setup in the rear?

A more accurate way to measure that most do is from center of hub to bottom of flare.
A majority of stock lift land at approx. 20" on all corners for tired stock springs.
My 862s plus 30mm gave me a 21.5"
You have made a great choice in spring selection with the 861/862 & 30mm spacers for many reasons.
They are dual rate & in my opinion are the best OME makes for the 80 series.
The 861 with a 170/250 rates are stronger than the OME heavy 850 with a 220 rate & the 862 with a 170/260 rates are stronger than the heavy 863 with a 250 rate.

As far as the bumpers lowering your ride height you can still add some 10mm packers in there or just go with a 1" body lift to get back to your desired ride height.

If you still want another choice in 2" heavy rear coils then look at these.
Slinky 2" dual rate sold by Redline Cruisers. @RLMS
TuffDog 2" dual rate sold by Trail Tailor. @reevesci

Hope this helps.

If you decide to swap out, put me first on the list to buy your current setup:cheers:
